On this day, on 31st July, 1980, the legendary singer, and my singing idol, the great Mohammed Rafi Sahab, left for the heavenly abode. He is my all time favorite singer, and whenever I listen to any of his song, it relaxes me and comforts my heart. 
           If I start writing about him and the various facts about him, it will take long and this blogpost will become very long. Words are short to describe him. Ever smiling,  with the pure voice, or as it was called 'The Voice of God', Rafi Sir still conquers millions of hearts through his numerous melodious songs. 
            He sang every song effortlessly, and hearing his any song, you may say easily on which actor this song is picturized.  
             Here is what some famous persons said about Rafi ji:

**" Rafi saab could become Shammi Kapoor,  Jitendra, Rajendra Kumar, Dilip Kumar and even Johny Walker " ~ Johny Walker**

 We will always miss you Rafi ji. May your legacy remain even after decades and decades, and your magical voice continue to soothe our heart.
