<html> <center><h3>My Introduction to the Crypto World</center></h3> <p><img src="https://image.ibb.co/giUz3a/cryptocurrency.jpg" width="1803" height="1020"/></p> <div class=text-justify><p>I was introduced to Bitcoin several years ago, but that time it was nothing more than a game reward to me. I consider that to be my age which restricted me to foresee the potential of it.</p> <p>After Bitcoin gained some popularity and other cryptocurrencies was introduced I chose to focus on the subject and started to understand everything possible for me to understand. After a certain time I understood that the entire subject is becoming a stimulating factor for me. But by that time the mining from CPUs were over and if an individual wants to own bitcoin(s) instantly he/she must spend some fiat currency for that. I too spent some and became a proud owner of bitcoin. Initially I was treating the BTCs as an asset which will give me high value return in fiat currency. But as time went by I found that I have developed some skills to analyze the crypto market and I started trading.</div></p> <h3><center>What I lost and how</center></h3> <p><center><img src="https://image.ibb.co/gtpA9F/Googleauthenticator.png" width="300" height="300"/></center> </p> <p>According to me I was good at trading since I was making profits. </p> <p>Yesterday a friend of mine called me early morning and said that within few hours he will become a father and I was really happy to hear that. Since I planned to stay the entire day with my friend in the hospital I thought to clear the cache memory of my phone, as for the last few days it is getting heated up badly and the battery is getting drained fast. I mistakenly chose the HARD RESET instead of CLEAR CACHE.</p> <p>The Hard reset just made me loose a few photos. All the applications that I had previously got installed automatically after I signed in with my account. I did not care about those photos as I was excited to see the newborn and meet my friend who was about to become a father within some time. </p> <p>The baby girl is too cute and within a few days the doctors will allow us to cuddle her I'm sure.</p> <p>After returning home at night I thought to trade some cryptos I hold in my Poloniex exchange. I took my phone and opened Google Authenticator and it was blank. I felt like I have lost everything and became numb.</p> <p>I started to search for articles and videos that says how to recover Google Authenticator and found none. I had several 2FA synced with it.</p> <p>After the sleepless night I told poloniex about the issue this morning. Reply from Poloniex is still pending but I am hoping that they will come up with a remedy. </p> <p>From the time this had happened I'm feeling very anxious and came home early from my workplace as I was not feeling well. I shared this event with a few friends of mine but nobody is aware of cryptocurrencies to the extent to understand my pain.</p> <p>After coming back from office I had a few cups of coffee but that didn't help with the anxiousness. From now onward I will safely keep the 16 digit code given to me. 2FA is a wonderful security layer and everyone should use it but you must safely keep a backup of the 16 digit code provided by the website. </p> <p>I was writing an article about the STEEMITANTHEM which I really want to materialize soon but since I wanted to tell this incident too, I copied the saved draft of the STEEMITANTHEM in a word processor and wrote this. I will complete it soon and will publish here.</p> </html>
