0.000 HBDHow i won't play any web3 Game in the Future. (Ravenquest especially)
Howdy ladys, its been a while since i wrote an article but today it needs a little rant about the whole Web3 Gaming, especially the Game **RAVENQUEST**. Couple of Months ago Ravenquest started, an MMO based on Pixels and Economy within the Game. ## The Web3 Part. Since its a web3 version of the older Ravendawn Game, players who played Ravendawn experienced already some good Strategies and How they archive fast End-Game Content. The Dev Team decided to run it on Immutable X - one of the worst user Experience when it comes to Deposit funds, ability to trade and much Fees to pay for Swaps and Deposits. it took roughly 2 Months and People got bored. #### The Quest Token For the Web3 Part they implemented the Token ["Quest". ](https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/ravenquest) This Token was primilary distributed to those Players who Testplayed the Game a few months earlier of Ravenquest. Those Tokens needs to be unlocked to the MainGame Play by earning Fame. They did it like doing their Daily Stuff and gets distributed each Tuesday every Week. Those locked Tokens was a massive amount and People, noone would blame them, extracted those Tokens and sold those on the Immutable Market to valuable USDC. (me too lately) ## the Magic Lands Magic? Nah.. but it got told us that Lands, where you can harvest and farm Ressources and sell those Ressources to Silver to other players - this Silver can be exchange to QUEST Token and thus, as i described above, selling on the Market. Me, myself and i was hyped at the beginning and bought myself 3 Medium lands for roughly 700$ each. The time i used those lands and harvest materials, sold them to others and extracted myself about 80$ in 3 Months playing with.... Currently, the Value of Medium Lands dropped down to insanely 280$. This massive drop forced me to take a big loss on it and sold 2 of 3 of the medium Lands to recover a little. ## the Future of Web3 Gaming? im highly unsure what could be an economical way to have a Web3 Game running for Years **When you look at Ravenquest, you see the major painpoints which are in my opinion:** - Lack of Content - Economical desaster - no stabilisation mechanic for Ressources <> Silver from the Game - massive South American players extracting for their livings (no blame at all) - Promises / Visions takes too long to finish and integrate by DevTeam - IMX Blockchain with worst User Experience when it comes to Trade and Swap NFTs and Tokens. --- **Therefore, i decided to to get at least $500 out of this TrashGame (1.7k invested) and put this into my HIVE Power which will likely have a better Point to Grow as WEB3 Games.** ---

If you read through here, i apologize for a little Rant about Web3Games and their Economical Desasters - but in general i would currently prefer Web2 Games like the current released Dune:Awakening as any web3 games which wont last long anyway. One thing i learned... *dont ape to early into something what might be looking cool to you.* Cheers.
