Regular medical check-ups have not been the norm for most Indonesians. As a result, they know the condition of the disease that has lodged in his body in a stage that is too late.

Dr. dr. Ari Fahrial Syam, SpPD-KGEH disclose, patients generally come to the doctor in a condition that is too late. For example, diabetes patients who come from wounds that never healed, so far never knew diabetes.

"People who have been hit heart is also too late, meaning there is a previous process that the end is a heart attack," said Ari when met at the Faculty of Health, University of Indonesia, Jakarta, some time ago.

Therefore, Ari reminded why it is important to conduct medical examination or medical check up. Some of the above mentioned diseases are preventable and do not occur suddenly.

Cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, fat levels, and others can only be known through a medical examination.

"Heart attacks occur because there is a blockage, not happen suddenly.We eat goat, not directly heart attack but the consumption of the last goat that exacerbates so the end of a heart attack," continued Ari.

Some other conditions that indicate the condition of the late disease include uric acid when the thumb is swollen and in pain. Then chronic hepatitis in which patients come already vomiting blood, meaning there is already a liver complication. Other conditions are anemia and hypertension that require blood tests.
