Is Steem "Too Good" for Its Own Good ??

In other wards is Steem so advanced and developed and complex that many people just get turned off by it ? And never pursue it after seeing the complexities of it all and what they have to deal with.

I have found this true in my own personal experience when approaching family members and friends with this Opportunity. They skim over it and never do anything passed that  :(

Maybe we are NOT meant for Mass Adoption but as a Niche platform for a specific  demographic ??
