Due to an injury, I wasn't able to ride much this winter. But I'm back and feeling so good about riding! Anyway, this was my first ride to and from work this year. It's about 10 miles each way but I also rode about 5 miles or so on my lunch break, went a bit out of the way heading home, then took my dog for another short ride in the trailer.

I got an early start, so early that I had to wait for the <a href="https://lexington.coop/">Lexington Co-Op</a> to open so I could get food for breakfast and lunch.

When I got to work I wasn't surprised to have the only bike at the company bike rack. Well it was before 8 am. There was only one other person on my floor that early.

I took a ride on my lunch break to <a href="https://www.niagarafallsusa.com/directory/gratwick-riverside-park/">Gratwick Park</a> in North Tonawanda. It's really not much of a park. It's mostly big empty fields. They do have free or cheap concerts there. Primus played there once. But it is a nice location right on the Niagara River. I found a rock to sit and eat my lunch right on the water. The photo below is looking north. You can see the skyline of Niagara Falls, Ontario in the distance.

I don't know what it is about this bike path but I had to go around 3 cars blocking the path on my way north and had another vehicle on the path on the way back.

When I got back, I was happy to see another cyclist had parked a bike at work.

After I got home, I still had more energy so I took the dog with me in the bike trailer. Here are a couple more photos of him in Front Park looking adorable. I'm having two groups of people over after work tomorrow so I won't have time for a ride. It's supposed to rain anyway.
