Today was a little different because I actually didn't play any battles at all. The previous season ended and a brand new season has started, so most of my time was spent checking rewards, looking at my rank reset, and deciding what to do with my Glint points.

I finished the previous season in Diamond 2, which I was pretty happy about. I managed to climb quite consistently during the season and ended up securing a decent position before the reset happened.

As expected, when the new season started my rank got pushed down. I am now sitting in Gold 1 and ready to start the climb all over again.

Honestly, one of the fun parts of season reset is opening rewards and spending all the Glint you've been saving up. Seeing those numbers accumulate over an entire season always feels satisfying.

After checking everything, I noticed I had 12,632 Glint points available.

Now came the difficult decision.

Should I save them?

Should I buy multiple smaller rewards?

Or should I just go for something exciting?

Well... I decided to spend big.

I purchased 1 Ultimate Chest for 10,000 Glint points.

<center><img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rookie2001/23t773L83jez3J8pBCWxSMZAkk8LuVMrxCD9wvWJZ1hSHb9TbKGtpYygM4mZA7gmemVv2.png" alt=""></center>

That purchase instantly reduced most of my balance, but honestly I wanted to see if I could pull something valuable from one of the best chests available.

Whenever I open higher-tier rewards, I always feel a bit nervous. You never really know what you're going to get.

Before opening the chest, I used a Legendary Potion.

My thinking was simple.

If I'm already spending 10,000 Glint points, I might as well improve my chances of getting a better reward. The potion doesn't guarantee anything of course, but every little bit helps.

At that point my expectations started growing.

Maybe a legendary card.

Maybe a powerful reward card.

Maybe a huge pile of resources.

The possibilities are what make these openings fun.

Then came the moment of truth.

I opened the Ultimate Chest and waited to see what was inside.

I always enjoy that small moment before the rewards appear. It reminds me a little bit of opening booster packs in trading card games. There is always that feeling that something amazing could be waiting inside.

Sometimes you get lucky.

Sometimes you don't.

That's part of the game.

Regardless of the outcome, I think Ultimate Chests are one of the most exciting things to spend Glint on because of the anticipation they create.

====================

Looking back, I'm pretty satisfied with how the season ended.

Finishing in Diamond 2 was a nice achievement for me and gives me a solid foundation for the new season. Now that I'm back in Gold 1, the climb begins again.

I also like that I still have some Glint left over after the purchase. It isn't much compared to what I had before, but it gives me a head start toward future rewards.

My goal this season is to push back into Diamond as quickly as possible and hopefully earn even more Glint than last season.

The higher I climb, the more rewards become available, and that means more chances to buy things like Ultimate Chests.

For now, I think spending 10,000 Glint on a single chest was worth the excitement alone.

That's one of the things I enjoy most about #Splinterlands. Even on days when I don't battle, there is always something to do, whether it's managing resources, upgrading cards, opening rewards, or planning for the next season.

Anyway thats it for today’s #splinterlands grind. More battles tomorrow and hopefully more crazy moments too. Please do give your reviews in the comments section below. I would really appreciate it :)

I'll be back with another one soon. So do follow me if you want to stay updated. Till then, Stay Happy and Stay Hydrated.
