 # Time to Share the Bread It's that time of year again where you bake up some wonderful treats and deliver them to your neighbors. There's no greater joy that giving to others for me. Now that might be gifts, but it might also be me giving my time and my listening to them, but one fond memory I have is baking with the kids and delivering treats around the neighborhood this time of year. When it snows, we quickly make hot chocolate and deliver it to those outside shoveling their long driveways. The kids giggle as they swish in their jackets, running into the snow and spilling half the hot chocolate out before it reaches the guests. I just wave from the porch and get back to the next round of goodies. If I went over to my neighbors though and said 'Hey, you've surely heard of Splinterlands, right?', no doubt they would pause, crinkle their faces to the cold and look at me like I'd come from another world. "What?" We should be shocked they haven't heard about it, right? I say this because haven't you seen all the articles lately on the crypto game? Today Splinterlands shared on Twitter that we had over half a million active accounts on Halloween! <div class="pull-right">https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rosiew/23z7HztRF68iwWBqHFYSP4qaRb5L5SRKsAsffCAzvMe8MUvHMXZfSCHD5USgCCNM6UcRM.png</div> Let me compare those numbers for you a bit to give some perspective here. When the actual game play began in Splinterlands (then called Steem Monsters) on October 14, 2018, it took a month to reach 500,000 games played and THAT'S AMAZING numbers. That's not the number of people that were playing the game at the time; that's the number of GAMES PLAYED in that month. Now, how many games would you guess you play on a daily basis in Splinterlands? So let's say you play 10 to make this easy numbers. Well, you hold onto that thought for a bit, and we're going to get right back to it. Just to help clarify where I'm going though, let me blow up that graph for you quickly so you can see those numbers for yourself: (Source: Splinterlands Twitter) We're talking an average of 410,000 PEOPLE playing PER DAY, and on Halloween, they hit over 500,000 PEOPLE playing the game! You see, while the children were running around getting candy, we were getting some treats ourselves, right? Speaking of getting treats, @goldmatters posted that a SINGLE @splinterlands card sold for $50,000! WOW, now that's a REAL treat, isn't it? According to goldmatters, that's the highest price for a single card ever, and he caveats that with "SO FAR". If you're starting to see dollar signs floating before you, it's not a hallucination, it's REAL. And if you're not out sharing this information to your neighbors, via some nice baked bread or hot chocolate as the weather turns colder, please USE SOME MEANS to tell your community about this game. Honestly, you'll be their hero! Trust me. https://twitter.com/Goldmatters_/status/1455817323105845254 Now, you remember those numbers I mentioned before? I said it took a month to play 500,000 games when Splinterlands released the game play aspect to the crypto world. So, let's go see what DappRadar has to say about the game: Ohhhhh.... lookie here! We see on Twitter that DappRadar has listed Splinterlands as the top gaming app AGAIN! Look at the numbers they show on their tweet from a day ago and heck, we know those numbers are even LOW at the rate the game is growing! https://twitter.com/DappRadar/status/1455565444375580673 So, let's also be conservative with our numbers and round down to 400,000 active players per day, and they are playing 10 games a day (we guess) and you'll see that only AVERAGE, 4 MILLION games are played a day! A DAY! (And we wonder why Splinterlands needs to bring on more developer support! Isn't it obvious when you break down these numbers?) If you want to be even more conservative about it and say players only play 5 games a day, you're still looking at 2 million games played PER DAY in Splinterlands! <div class="pull-left">https://media.tenor.com/images/4c041c364e59793bd4e07491b79fb9ee/tenor.gif</div> And yet, head outside. Look to your left and look to your right please! Are your neighbors playing Splinterlands? I bet not. I bet you haven't told them yet, have you? Well, we're heading into the season for all things warm and wonderful, jolly and joyful, merry and bright! Maybe it's time to tell your neighbor, right? My point here is, Splinterlands has grown in leaps and bounds and yet "no one" has even heard of it yet. You think this growth is amazing, just wait six months. No, you'd be foolish to wait. Don't take my word for it; go look at the statistics. Go look at the numbers! I read a lot of complaints on the game not giving enough return on investment, but if you go put your money into the regular stock exchange, are you going to get these kinds of rates of return? Nope. The SPS token alone in this very month has gone from 69 cents to over a dollar for a brief time, so let's peg it at 94 cents as a recent article from altcoinbuzz used. That's a growth of 340% in one month. Yes we dropped back down, but now we're hanging around 60 cents again. Hope you didn't sell your SPS when it dropped! I know I didn't! As my father taught me even when I was a little, little girl, "Rose, I buy when everyone is leaving and sell when the price is high!" My dad has bought and sold the same stocks over and over again, and made a nice little nest egg for himself. So those people who are complaining about the fluctuation in market prices really don't understand the "long game" here. Meanwhile, we've got a MAJOR publicity moment from MCHammer with is over 3-million followers as he's become quite a voice for the NFT community. https://twitter.com/MCHammer/status/1455479332718088197 If you look at his twitter, he's been pumping NFTs for awhile now, and with 3 million pairs of eyes, that's a lot of views seeing Splinterlands. Sadly, some people in the Splinterlands community are suggesting he's not the right kind of influencer: if he's not, who is? If you want the game to hit the mainstream, you've got to step out off your front porch and start spreading the news. And if you're not sure if Splinterlands has enough growth, just go back to those original numbers and see where the game is at how! <div class="pull-right">https://media.tenor.com/images/64ef68a301d5c71142c952f807cb8337/tenor.gif</div> The long game is: Your neighbor doesn't even know about this game yet. What are the odds, with a 340% growth that your neighbor WILL know about this game in the next sixth months, especially with the drop of the land expansion? Hmmmm.. I bet the odds are pretty good! My whole point here is: we're just at the START of the explosion for Splinterlands, and now's the BEST TIME to be spreading the word about this game. Please, won't you be the nice neighbor and share the success of Splinterlands with others? Your neighbor will thank you for it, especially when the risk is so low, and you're not asking them to invest $100,000 in something. Heck, a tube of lipstick costs more than this crypto game, and I should know because I've sold Mary Kay Cosmetics for YEARSSS now! I can tell you now, that lipstick didn't earn me the kind of money crypto is going to earn me here, so please, if you don't want to compare the cost to lipstick, find something else you think your neighbor can relate to -- a cup of coffee, 5 games on a slot machine at the Casinos, just SOMETHING that gives perspective to what Splinterlands is costing and what your neighbor could be earning. And that's what YOU can be earning too! When you tell your neighbor about it, be sure to share your account name and ask that they add it in the affiliate program! You'll be getting a percentage of every Chaos Legion pack they are buying from Splinterlands and every potion they buy to help open those cards. Your neighbor will THANK YOU, and you'll be thanking your neighbor! So..... Please share out Splinterlands with others and don't discriminate between who is good for the game or not. Good business is happy customers, and happy customers are those making money, and those making money are those investing in the game, and we want people investing in the game and then we all make money. We all want to continue to see this growth, and if you're not sure what to say to them, share this blog post I made on 21 Ways to Make Money in Splinterlands based upon a YouTube video, which is also tagged in that post. Here's the link: https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@rosiew/splinterlands-21-ways-to-make-money-in-crypto-trading-card-game Thank you so much for reading, and I hope this has cheered up the Splinterlands' community, because this game is just ramping up, folks!
