**Hello, Summoner!**
(Just like in the latest Splinterlands article—players are now recognized as the summoners, while summoner cards will be rebranded as Archons.)

As someone who has been playing Splinterlands for quite some time, I’d like to share some personal thoughts and experiences regarding the recent update introduced in the *Conclave Arcana* series. You can check out the article through this link: [**Introducing Conclave Arcana!**](https://ecency.com/category/@splinterlands/introducing-conclave-arcana)

As a player with a collection mostly consisting of cards from Chaos Legion and earlier, but still undecided about fully committing to the Wild format, this update presents both exciting new opportunities and fresh challenges to explore.

---

Since the early days of my Splinterlands journey, I’ve collected a wide range of cards—especially from the Chaos Legion set. While I do have a decent collection, I’ve always felt more comfortable playing in the Modern format. Its game dynamics are more aligned with my preferred playstyle.

Wild format, on the other hand, offers great variety but can be intimidating due to the presence of older, extremely powerful cards. Now that Chaos Legion will soon be rotated into Wild, I’ll have to rethink my approach. With a strong set of Chaos Archons in my collection, a shift to Wild seems inevitable—but what strategies should I adopt, and what about other players in a similar position?

### **Welcoming Conclave Arcana With Excitement and Concern**

When I heard about the upcoming *Conclave Arcana* set launching in 2025, I felt both excited and concerned. On the bright side, this set introduces new mechanics and opens up synergies between older and newer cards—a refreshing twist for long-time players like me who still hold onto cards from previous sets.

But I’m also concerned about the impact of rotation, especially as Chaos Legion moves out of Modern. That means I’ll need to reevaluate my strategies and possibly invest in new cards to remain competitive in the Modern format.

### **Strategy and Adaptation in Gameplay**

With my current collection, including a few cards from Rebellion, I’ve started planning new strategies to remain effective in Modern. One of the biggest challenges is adapting to the ever-changing meta and keeping my deck competitive.

Of course, this won’t be easy at first—especially since I'll need to level up my Archons to unlock higher-level monsters. The higher the Archon level, the more powerful the cards I can bring into battle. Right now, the fastest way I can think of to keep up is by renting high-level Archons from other players—which will definitely take a bite out of my usual savings plan, especially considering HIVE prices haven’t fully recovered from the dip over the past three months.

Still, if I hit a wall and can’t keep up, I may gradually start building a collection from the *Conclave Arcana* series. With a variety of packs available—Standard, Legendary, Alchemist, and Starter Packs—there’s enough flexibility to build smartly according to budget and need. It’ll be a gradual process, but a worthwhile one.

What keeps me going, even in times of uncertainty, is the amazing Splinterlands community. Players are always ready to share tips, strategies, and stories that help both newcomers and veterans grow. With updates like Conclave Arcana, it’s more important than ever to support one another and share insights so we can all adapt together.

### **Quick Suggestions for Fellow Players**

If you're in a similar position, here are a few suggestions:

1. **Evaluate Your Collection**
Take a fresh look at your cards and consider how they might fit into the evolving meta. You might lose more often at first, but new metas always create new strategies to survive and thrive.

2. **Plan Your Investments**
Consider investing in newer cards from the latest set that can boost your performance in Modern format.

3. **Tap Into the Community**
Join community discussions to gain insights and strategies from other players. There’s always something new to learn.

With the right mindset and support from the community, we can continue to enjoy Splinterlands and face whatever challenges future updates bring.
