I'm heading home to Japan in 2 days and trying not to panic. I'm concerned air travel to and from Japan may be halted. You see the Corona virus has taken off in the last 2 days in Japan, Korea, Italy and Iran. In Japan We went from 80 cases 3 days ago to 134 at the time of writing this. It was only supposed to double every 6 days.

NHK is reporting A middle schooler way over in Kanazawa, Ishikawa-ken has just come down with it. That makes me think that the virus is already spread across Japan and is just now starting to manifest itself after incubation periods of up to 24 days. https://twitter.com/nhk_news/status/1231228661866496002?s=20

I am terrified I may not be able to be there for my family. I am terrified for my wife who has an auto-immune disease. The virus attacks more than just your lungs, it exploits other weaknesses in your body like auto-immune. It attacks the kidneys and the heart as well.

The infection may not be the worst part. China's economy is at a virtual stand still. Over 10% of humanity is under some form of quarantine. Now that the virus is spreading to the G7 countries they are most likely going to have to issue their own quarantines as well. Economic chaos is fertile ground for wars. Keep an eye on gold prices to see what the big money people think is going to happen, hint it was up 1.5% yesterday. 

My wife and I are discussing plans to get out of the big city, but where to go? Northern Japan or back to the USA? I'm leaning to the former. We have 2 large homes up north we can hunker down in for month  or two.

Once I am back in Japan I will be blogging daily about the situation there, good and bad. Please say a prayer for everyone.
