I also make sure to use the **Amplify Ability** when I use the **Magic Reflect Ability**, because the **Amplify Ability** increases Magic Reflect damage to all enemy units by 1. I can say that the combo of Magic Reflect Ability and Amplify Ability is very effective against magic attacks. **Brief Descriptions of the Above Mentioned Abilities** - **Phase Ability** : Magic attacks can miss this Unit (using the same hit/miss calculation as Melee and Ranged attacks). - **Void Armor Ability** : Magic attacks hit this Unit's armor before its Health. - **Void Ability** : Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%. - **Magic Reflect Ability** : When hit with Magic damage, does half the Magic damage (rounded up) back to the attacker. - **Amplify Ability** : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy units by 1. Let's examine the **Wands Out Ruleset** in a battle.
**BATTLE**

 [Battle Link](https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_c6bc55f1fe6609b03130c2406de3177a&ref=rtonline)
**Battle Ruleset**
 - **Wands Out**: Only Monsters with Magic attack may be used in battles. - **Counterspell**: All Monsters have the Magic Reflect ability. - **Active Units** : Water, Life, and Dragon - **Mana Cap** : 42
**MY STRATEGY**
Since the battle has the Wands Out Ruleset, only units with magic attacks may be used. Additionally, since the battle has the Counterspell Ruleset, all Monsters will have the Magic Reflect ability. I determined my strategy accordingly. In such a battle, I chose **Grandmaster Rathe** as the **Summoner** without hesitation, as I believed that it would be a great advantage for all monsters in my team to have **+1 Armor**, **Void Armor Ability** and **Amplify Ability**. Also, I didn't have any cards with Tank Heal Ability suitable for this battle, but I had a card with Triage Ability, so I added Iziar with Taunt Ability and Void Ability to my team and put it in the last position because I didn't want to get multiple attacks in the first position. And I added Spirit Hoarder with the Triage Ability to the team. I put the Time Meddler with 5 Armor in the first position and I will use the Repair Ability to make it harder to destroy. And finally, I added Djinn Renova with the Strengthen Ability to my team. My team's lineup is as follows.
**LINE UP**
**Summoner : GRANDMASTER RATHE** [Source](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/463/regular/7?tab=stats) **Grandmaster Rathe** is a **Life Summoner** who gives **+1 Armor**, **Void Armor Ability**, and **Amplify Ability** to all friendly monsters. - **Void Armor Ability** : Magic attacks hit this Unit's armor before its Health. - **Amplify Ability** : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy units by 1. **Position 1: TIME MEDDLER** [Source](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/486/gold/8?tab=stats) **Time Meddler** is a monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has **2 Magic Attacks**, **3 Speed**, **5 Armor**, **7 Health**, and **Dodge Ability** at level 4. I put Time Meddler in the first position because has 5 armor. - **Dodge Ability** : Has a 25% higher chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks. **Position 2: ADELADE BRIGHTWING** [Source](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/421/regular/7?tab=stats) **Adelade Brightwing** is a monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has **2 Magic Attacks**, **1 Speed**, **5 Health**, **Flying Ability**, **Repair Ability** and **Resurrect Ability** at level 2. I put Adelade Brightwing in the second position. - **Flying Ability** : Has a 25% bonus chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Units who do not have the Flying ability. - **Repair Ability** : Restores a third of max armor to the friendly Unit whose armor has taken the most damage. - **Resurrect Ability** : When a friendly Unit dies it is brought back to life with 1 Health. This ability can only trigger once per battle. **Position 3: SPIRIT HOARDER** [Source](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/448/regular/7?tab=stats) **Spirit Hoarder** is a monster that can attack the target with a Magic Attack and has **1 Magic Attack**, **1 Speed**, **3 Health**, and **Triage Ability** at level 1. I put Spirit Hoarder in the third position. - **Triage Ability** : Heals the friendly back-line Unit that has taken the most damage by a third of max health. **Position 4: DJINN RENOVA** [Source](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/345/regular/3?tab=stats) **Djinn Renova** is a monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has **3 Magic Attacks**, **3 Speed**, **6 Health**, **Strengthen Ability** at level 3. I put Djinn Renova in the fourth position. - **Strengthen Ability** : All friendly Units have their Health increased by 1. **Position 5: IZIAR** [Source](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/529/regular/10?tab=stats) **Iziar** is a monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has **2 Magic Attacks**, **3 Speed**, **14 Health**, **Taunt Ability**, and **Void Ability** at level 2. I put Iziar in the last position. - **Taunt Ability** : All enemy Units target this Unit (if they are able to). - **Void Ability** : Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%. If you want, you can check all the stats of the cards from the source links below the pictures.
**BATTLE COMMENTS**
**Round 1** [Battle Link](https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_c6bc55f1fe6609b03130c2406de3177a&ref=rtonline) To be honest, the opponent's strategy was also quite good, and I was was not surprised that the opponent player used Void Ability, Void Armor Ability and Phase Ability, because they are abilities that can be very effective in such battles, but I can say that I was a little surprised that Agor Longtail was in the first position, because I think it would have been better for the opposing team if it had been on the back line. In the first round, all monsters hit their targets, but the fact that Iziar had the Void Ability, the Triage Ability healed some of Iziar's health, and the Repair Ability restored some of the Time Meddler's armor gave my team a great advantage. At the end of the first round, while the enemy team's monster took serious damage, the health of my team's monsters was the same as when they started the battle. **Round 2** In the second round, all magic attacks hit their targets, but they could not cause much damage to monsters with Void Ability, Additionally, the fact that all monsters in my team had the Magic Reflect Ability and Amplify Ability allowed the monsters in the opposing team to take serious damage, especially those who did not have the Void Ability, to take more serious damage. Also, it was admirable that Time Meddler dodged Agor Longtail's melee attack. In the first round, the opposing team's Spirit Hoarder and Agor Longtail were destroyed, but thanks to the Ressurect Ability, Agor Longtail was brought back to life with 1 health. **Round 3** The Magic Reflect Ability and Amplify Ability combo worked great and made destroying the opposing team's monsters much easier. t was also admirable that Time Meddler dodged Agor Longtail's melee attack once again. At the end of the third round, while 2 more monsters from the opposing team were destroyed, all monsters on my team were still alive. **Round 4** Things were not going well for the opposing team, and in the fourth round, another monster from the opposing team was destroyed, leaving only Djinn Oshannus. Djinn Oshannus had no chance of winning this battle alone. **Round 5** In the fifth round, Djinn Oshannus to evade of magic attacks was admirable, but it was not enough to win. **Round 6** In the sixth round, Djinn Oshannus had only 1 health left so it was not difficult to destroy Djinn Oshannu, and my team managed to win this very tough battle in the 6th round. The battle lasted 6 rounds, at the end of the battle, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, no monster from my team could be destroyed. My strategy worked quite well in this battle and my team won the battle quite easily against a powerful team. I can say that using **Magic Reflect Ability** and **Amplify Ability** together in this battle was very useful, so I like to use this combo in such battles. I recommend you to watch this amazing and quite challenging battle from the [Battle Link](https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_c6bc55f1fe6609b03130c2406de3177a&ref=rtonline).
