How long has the internet been around ?

i heard about this when i just signed up too, it was "coming" ...

i doubt it will fix any of the problems as they have never been fixed, you get spamsnailmail everyday, you get spamphonecalls everyday, here in hellgium there's lists, you can ask to put your number on it and they're not allowed to call you, but they accidentally still do ...

The oracles and communities sounds a lot like enlightened despotism and separatism, a bit of the natural kneejerk reaction you get in the "real" world after the too much of the 60s and 70s and the forced unity and equality of the 90s to the now , everything tries to tear apart into smaller communities again

i'd be wary of handing the power to a  small elite, the power to control 

as i like to say , back in the 30s when the nazis burned books, the whole nation was convinced they were eliminating bad content, not a soul in the country actually didnt believe they werent doing the right thing

i personally strongly still believe in personal mute and block buttons

i dont want someone "up there" to decide for me what i want to see or not

and actually what does that mean if i have several topics ?

i have something on programming now, and something else tomorrow, i have to be in two communities and two people out of a million decide wether my stuff is cleared for publication ?

do you know how that sounds, lol ?

i probably misunderstand the concept, what if i'm not in a community ?

i'll be stuck in the outback or down below ? it doesnt sound very good to me, not the way its described (not the way i heard it describe all those months ago either)
