Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy, And Greedy When Others Are Fearful
Who would have ever thought that bitcoin would massively plunge in price to this extent? This shows that the market really moves as it wants and is careless about you and me. Well, this doesn’t mean that the market has its own mind. But trust me… It always seems like the market act opposite everyone’s thought. This makes me ask; who really moves the market? Me? You? Us or them?

I believe the market is moved by the supply and demand placed by us. Since we all have minds of our own, it tends to act according to our input commands. The crypto market isn’t like the traditional markets which are moved by the economy or political concerns. However, we’ve got a few times noticed crypto prices descending due to negative news/updates like the followings
- Regulatory concerns.
- The devs of a project might go against their Tokenomics promises by releasing the total supply of their token or destroying it.
- Security breaches, etc

As we have updates that could move the market negatively, there are positive ones too. Even with all these, the crypto market still seems to always move against our individual plans for it.
But for real tho, **the market owes us nothing!***. I really don’t care if it does the opposite of what everyone is expecting or it’s favoring anyone. All I care for are healthy trades for myself.

>**Warren Buffett**: Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.”

You see that quote right there, it’s exactly how I have been running my trades lately. I have learned to always manage my portfolio like it’s my life. No matter how much it’s worth, I trade it like I was trading with someone else’s capital. Even though greediness sometimes tries to manifest itself, I have recently learned to control it no matter what.

These days, I set TP(take profit) like the market is about to end in the next minute. Even at that, I always try to make at least 10% profit on average. However, for some bigger funds, I set my percentage to 5%.

When I started with this strategy, I end up regretting my moves because most of the coins ends up moving way higher than my target. Due to this, I mostly set Tp with 50% at 5% gain while the remaining 50% would be placed at 10% profit. Sometimes it comes and at times it doesn’t.

###
Traders were all caught by surprise

I can bet that this last crypto drop almost caught everyone except ungreedy ones who feared while others were greedy. An example was me. I sold at $57,162 yesterday. Note that the highest price Bitcoin has gone since its previous drop was $59,219. So, my selling price was okay.

###
The drop

As I woke up earlier today, I saw how the market had dropped and I smiled. I thought of re-entering after I discussed with @justinpencilz that morning but he said and I quote “Wait for a sign of rejection before entering else it’d keep dropping.” Lo and behold, the rejection later came but I hopped in very late and I’m pained for that.

Who would have ever known that the bitcoin price would touch $42,620? I expected a drop but not a few dollars below $43k. Those who bought at this price are made already 😀

Nevertheless, I entered back into the market at a fair price which is fine by me. I will watch it over the weekend. Once I see irritating candlesticks, I might take a day off while I wait for Monday stock opening.

*Wait, what did I just type?*

But really tho, do Monday stock market opening really affect the crypto market? Well, maybe not. But I’m so used to trading crypto like it has both closing and opening days. After all, every trading is bad. It’s always nice to take a day or two off.

###
Conclusion

Human emotions in the market are real but taking caution over it makes you a winner. Don’t trade on emotions.
