IBM has launched IBM Z a mainframe capable of processing 12 billion transactions per day

IBM has launched the next-generation mainframe IBM Z, which is capable of processing 12 billion encrypted transactions every day. The company uses this system by creating cloud-based blockchain centers, as reported in Fork Log magazine.

The core element of IBM Z is the encryption engine, which will encode data associated with any application, cloud service or database, which, according to developers, will reduce the risk of massive data theft by approximately 92 percent For companies.

"We believe the new solution will find broad application in the areas of financial services, government agencies, retail, freight and passenger transportation," said IBM Chief Executive Officer Ross Mauri.

He further complimented saying that:

The corporation also announced the creation of six IBM Cloud Blockchain data centers (data centers) using IBM Z as an encryption tool. These data centers are built in New York, London, Frankfurt, Sao Paulo, Tokyo and Toronto to serve the financial services industry.
