Hola a todo en este hermoso fin de semana. Espero que esten bien, muchas felicidades a los ganadores de la semana pasada del comcurso y a todos los concursantes.

En esta semana 132 he decidido traer dos tonadas tradicionales de mi pais acompañadas con el laud. Estas tonadas han formado parte de la cultura de mi pais de generacion en generacion, ya se encuentran perdidas y pertenecen al patrimonio de Cuba pero vengo a mostrarle un poco de mis raices.

Yo incursione al mundo de la musica mucho antes de estar en la escuela de arte gracias al repentismo, el arte de improvisar en decima y cantar tonadas las cuales se cantan con decimas, en los talleres de repentismo del maestro de la decima Alexis Diaz Pimienta el que ha hecho de la decima mucho mas que una costumbre guajira y la ha llevado a otras manifestaciones haciendo performances distintos al repentismo tradicional.

Hay muchos otros grandes repentistas en mi tierra Cubana y muy antiguos esta El Indio Naborí que es uno de los mas importantes Tomasita Quiala entre otros muchos

Las tonadas que les voy a interpretar son la tonada Carvajal en tono menor y Tonada en punto libre Que linda es Cuba que linda.

Las decimas de acá son de la autoría de mi madre que siempre me ha acompañado en el mundo de la musica y que conmigo ha aprendido todo sobre esta.

La decima tiene diez versos octosilabos de rima consonante con una estructura conformada por dos cuartetas y un puente.


Las tonadas no tienen un autor, las decimas si, despues de tantos años y reformas se ha perdido el derecho de autor no sabemos quien es el creador.

Hello everyone, this beautiful weekend. I hope you're all well. Congratulations to last week's contest winners and all the contestants.

This week, the 132nd, I've decided to bring two traditional tunes from my country, accompanied by the lute. These tunes have been part of my country's culture from generation to generation. They're now lost and belong to Cuba's heritage, but I'm here to show you a bit of my roots.

I entered the world of music long before I was in art school thanks to repentismo, the art of improvising in decima and singing tunes sung with decimas. This happened in the repentismo workshops of decima maestro Alexis Diaz Pimienta, who has made the decima much more than a Guajira custom and has brought it to other manifestations, creating performances distinct from traditional repentismo.

There are many other great improvisers in my homeland, Cuba, and very old is El Indio Naborí, one of the most important, Tomasita Quiala, among many others.

The tunes I'm going to perform for you are the Carvajal tune in a minor key and the free-point tune "Que linda es Cuba que linda."

The verses here are written by my mother, who has always been with me in the world of music and has learned everything about it from me.

The verses have ten octosyllabic verses with consonant rhyme, with a structure made up of two quatrains and a bridge.
