The common joke is that despite living here for half my life I can't cope with the cold because I grew up in the tropics XD I actually can't cope with the cold because an old injury decides to start hurting when it's "too cold" which is a few degrees before I find it too cold, but once it's "too cold" for me it's all pain.

There may be a genetic component but I don't think it's the strongest factor as while my immediate family is about as susceptible to the cold as I am, my godmother (mum's sister) loves the colder temperatures and can't cope with the heat.

Parents have a pretty big effect on their kids lives whether their kids want to admit it or not, or at least in my case anyway when I've been thinking about various influences that I can identify on mine XD
