With this post, let me share some of the development updates with you.

## Add a podcast of your choice

- Now that we have a podcast app within 3Speak app, it is time to add additional features on top of it.
- One of the request from users was about enabling them to add an RSS Feed of a Podcast.
- @starkerz has been asking for this very specifically.

## What is RSS Feed?

- RSS feed = Really Simple Syndication
- RSS allows users and applications to access updates to websites in a standardized, computer-readable format
- With RSS, you can subscribe to News Feed, Podcast feed & so much more.
- RSS is heavily used in Podcasting industry

## How to add RSS Feed in 3Speak App?

- Open Podcast app from 3Speak App
- Tap on Plus button from Top-right-corner
- You'll see following screen

- Now, Enter the RSS URL
- Tap on Add Button

- Wait for few seconds
- RSS Feed based Podcast has been added.
- You can find it under 2nd tab of Podcast App
- 2nd Tab should say - Podcasts - RSS Podcasts.
- Find following screenshot which indicates the same.

## When will this feature be available?

- This feature will be available in the next release.
- At the moment, this feature is under development & testing.
- I'm also going to add more features to this existing one.
- Here are the list of improvement which needs to be done yet for this feature.
    - Add a loading indicator when podcast is being added
    - Throw an error if podcast is not valid
    - Provide a back button to user ✅
    - Hide text field when loading
    - Show a toast message to user that - podcast ‘bla bla’ is added
    - Switch to 2nd tab / RSS Tab of Custom Podcasts after adding
    - Allow user to Delete a RSS based podcast
    - Show RSS based podcast tab in favorites-tab-bar-screen also.
