Oh, I’ve overeaten this Easter,  
My belly's a plump little drum,  
Hanging over my trousers,  
Like a jolly chocolate sun!

Hot cross buns and sweets galore,  
I’m over stuffed like a turkey, wedged by the door!  
The holiday beckons—my plans set just right,  
But here comes the hiccup—let’s pray I don’t bite!  

Worrying over details—lamb or a quiche?  
Visions of chocolates cling like a leech.  
“Just one more bite!” I plead with a moan,  
What have I done to my once-fit frame’s throne?  

I’ve bitten off more than I ever can chew,  
Overthinking these treats—“Is chocolate fondue?”  
Flooded by sweetness, I feel quite frazzled,  
As I wobble through life, delightfully dazzled!  

With each rising muffin, my resolutions are shot,  
I’m overhyped, overfocused—dieting? What’s that?  
So here’s to our feasting, may laughter never cease,  
At this rate, my waistline demands a big increase!
