As some of you know, my grandma passed away recently and I saw how my mom grieved. Ever since that day, I've come to be more aware of every passing minute I spend alive in my mom's presence; even if we're at home doing our own thing.

Here's what she cooked for dinner today. It's a simple mixed vege porridge with pork bone for some flavour. She waited for me to come home to eat it. I actually had my dinner after work, but I'm going to eat this porridge because I really don't want to regret wasting my mom's home cooked food away.

This little thing is one cube of Fermented Beancurd from Taiwan. I mashed it up and mix it up with the porridge for a powerful flavour and aftertaste that lingers in the mouth. It's spicy and salty, and packed with a flavour I can't really describe because there's nothing like it in Malaysia.

You know what? I'm going to be posting a lot of my mom's cookings... on this decentralized place so that it will be remembered for ever.
