Moon is the second-densest satellite among those whose densities are known. Moon has been visited only by unmanned spacecraft. Our moon is about a quarter the size of the Earth. People used the moon to measure time. The moon has thousands of them. The moon is the easiest celestial object to find in the night sky. The moon has a very thin atmosphere. As the full moon approaches, its growing brightness tends to capture our attention. Who made many mathematical discoveries in the third century B.C. This means that the surface of the Moon is unprotected from cosmic rays. It is about 250,000 miles from Earth to the moon. Once again only part of the moon is sunlit and part is dark. NASA scientists and engineers have been studying how to live on the moon. The same thing has happened to most of the other satellites in the solar system.
