Staying at the hostel in Marin headlands I thought it was a good idea to go for a sunrise hike up to Slackers Hill. It always seem like a great idea until the alarm is going off at 5am. Fighting the rebellion going on in your body just to make a move, you swivel out landing you feet on the floor. The next struggle, to navigate the hostel room without waking anyone up. 

It’s only then, after 30 minutes down a trail in the pitch black when you remember you’ve not told a soul where you’re going. Heck, you don’t even know where you’re going. Mutter something or other ‘it’s about the story’ and get on with it.

I never did see that sunrise. It was one of those slow fade-ins where you never actually see the sun and then it’s day time.
