<div class="text-justify"> No matter what your products or services are, the truth is that they cannot be meant for everyone, so you have to know your targeted audience and then take your marketing to them to increases your chances of making sales. If you do not know the customers that your products are meant for, you may end up progressing your marketing in futility. As a business person, you have to know your targeted customers. You need to take feasibility studies and perform indepth analysis of which people or group of people that will welcome your services and then take the marketing to them. <center></center> <center>Image from [Pexels](https://www.pexels.com/photo/man-pointing-laptop-computer-2182981)</center> One thing to also understand about marketing for specifics and having a targeted customer is that it can change from time to time, to people, to location. Take this instance: in this part of the world, there are times of the year when rain falls almost on a daily basis, so anyone that sells products like umbrella or raincoat would make enough sales. In fact, at that time, the prices of those products normally go up because of the high demands for them. Imagine someone that produces these products and instead of bringing them to this part of the world, he decides to take them to dry desert-like regions, how will he make sales? I have understood something about marketing over the years; it is part of the major tools that determine sales. This is why, even with your existing products, you can still tailor them or make a few changes to accommodate more other potential customers. For example; when Blue Band company started producing margarine, it was discovered that their main margarine which is the "Blue Band Original" has a lot of fat content, majorly which are saturated fat and may not be very suitable for elderly people because of cholesterol. What they needed to do was to introduce a second margarine with low fat and called it "spread for bread." With that, it became fit for even the elderly, but they needed to undertake a new marketing strategy for it to increase sales. Your product may be very good and even viable, but if people do not know about it, they will not patronise you. I mean, how will they even patronise what they do not know about. So as much as you are focusing on the quality of your product and service, you should also have your focus on marketing strategies. I remember a time when I was looking for someone that would do a particular job for me. Unknowingly to me, one of my friends does that but I never knew. He would not post it, not even word-of-mouth advertising. It was just when I was casually telling him if he knows someone to do a job for me and that was when he revealed that he does something like that, so I gave him the job. If not that I told him, he would have missed out of the job. One may ask about the various potent ways to market products for specifics audiences instead of just scattering everything around and wasting time. The first one is through social media. In this era, a lot of people engage in one or more social media platforms (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, etc). Because of this, you can also leverage on the widespread of these social media to market your products. While advertising it, there are options to choose your preferred audience. For example, when running a Facebook advert, you can streamline it to a particular audience and then target them to increase your potential patronage. <center></center> <center>Image from [Pexels](https://www.pexels.com/photo/holding-a-smartphone-in-front-of-an-imac-5082581)</center> Another option is to go with the printed publication methods; including fliers, banners, handbills, etc. This can also be a method to target a specific audience. When sharing the flier or mounting the banner/billboard, you can choose a particular location that you intend to make your targeted audience. For example; if you intend to market something relating to school item, you can mount your banner in a location near a school or a place where students stay and to have a wider visibility of your product. The final one we will talk about is the word-of-mouth. As simple as it may sound, it provides a very potent way to market your products to a specific audience. Of course, you do not waste your time to talk to everyone you see about your business, you should have a specific kind of people that will be suitable for it, these are the people to talk to about it. When you focus your energy on the right people for marketing, it will yield better results. ***Thanks for reading*** <div class=phishy>Peace on y'all</div> https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/samminator/htu0yqPT-unknown-2.png https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/samminator/242humvD58PJ6Y9Tgr8yEcPhbgmtiQCBYijcLDxqsQrjETUiqVUGwaYMZX3uuxN1C9fV6.gif </div> Posted Using [InLeo Alpha](https://inleo.io/@samminator/marketing-tip-focusing-more-on-specifics)
