Success and influence do not answer to wishes but to work. However, it is not just working hard but complementing it with working smart. If the level of success of someone is directly related to the level of hard work they have put in, then those that bend irons and push trucks will be among the richest. In reality, success is a result of the ideas you provide, the questions you answer and the solutions to problems you are able to provide.

An airplane (the Airbus, for example) can transport hundreds of people at once. Amazingly, the effort needed is not borne by the muscles of the pilot but by following simple instruction. No matter how talented a pilot is, he cannot outsmart taking instructions from the control tower. In the same way, to make a headway in life, you should understand that everything does not answer to physical Labour but there is also a place for smart thinking.

The journey to success, more often than not, is not smooth and it is filled with undulating paths but you will still need to pass through it. If anyone promises you a shortcut to success without putting in any work, then that person is not helping you to grow. You cannot get rich by someone giving you fish but you get rich by learning how to fish.

Whatever work you have done in the pursuit of your success, and the midnight candles you have burnt, it is only your results that will justify them. No one is actually interested in how hard you have laboured or the efforts you have put in but the results you have gotten from them. They may not even see the work, but once the result is evident, it will announce itself.

Any successful person you see out there has a very unique thing in common with others successful people - and that is providing solutions. No matter who you are or your status (they may not even like you face), but if you are able to come up with a solution to ease up the world's problem, then they cannot but seek for you, and this is how success beckons.
