<div class="text-justify"> I am sure that most of your know or have heard about Hussein Bolt - the man that holds many world record in running and also the world's fastest man. After one of his amazing feats, he was interviewed about his preparation and training routines, it was amazing to know that he trained for miles just for a few seconds 100meters race. This is not surprising the kind of result he was able to command. This goes to prove that preparation is indispensable if you want to experience a good result. <center></center> <center>Image from [Pixabay](https://pixabay.com/photos/woman-athlete-running-exercise-498257)</center> Your performance in any event or competition is almost always a direct result of how well (or not) you have prepared. If you prepared well and goodly, you will expect to have a good result. However, if you were poorly prepared, then poor result may be inevitable. Have you every wondered why athletes prepare ahead of competitions? You will agree with me that when a football competition is scheduled (like the champions' league), the players do not have to wait until the day of competition before they will begin to train unless they do not want to perform well. They will need to be engaged in training even long before the day of the competition. In examination for example, you do not have to wait till you see the examination timetable before you know you should study. A good student will obviously be studying and then getting ready to face any exam. The truth is, it may not be what you studied on the day of the exam that will save you but the summation of everything you have studied before time. It will be correct to say that preparation and results are mutually inclusive events. If you do not take the stress (and pains) of having adequate preparation, then be prepared to take the stress of failures. Every great building that will stand the test of time must have a solid and rugged foundation to withstand external pressures. This is exactly what having adequate preparation does for you. Preparation is like laying foundation for yourself without which success may not be in view. I remember when a friend of mine went for a science competition during our high school days. She was chosen for the competition because of her performance in the school but one thing happened, she overestimated her abilities and did not see the need to revise with past competition questions, but unknown to her, the other competitors did. Weird enough, the questions for the competition were drawn from past questions, and that was how other competitors performed better than her. Just to let you know, your abilities and your capabilities are not substitutes for preparation. Even as Messi and Ronaldo are seen as the best, they did not assume the position but trained their way through, and they still train. You do not only prepared to attain success but to retain the success. <center></center> <center>Image from [Pixabay](https://pixabay.com/photos/child-kid-play-study-color-learn-865116)</center> If the people that are successful have deemed it fit to keep putting in their best, then you should borrow a leaf from that. Remember, the joy of success is when it is constantly being upgraded and this can come with your level of preparation and preparedness. As you progress in life you will understand that your preparation should increase because you now have bigger prizes in view. The level of preparation you put in when you wrote your kindergarten examination is different from when you wrote your degree examination. This is how life is designed - the higher you go, the more demand life places on you. ***Thanks for reading*** <div class=phishy>Peace on y'all</div> https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/samminator/htu0yqPT-unknown-2.png http://i.imgur.com/EN9mTyN.gif?1 </div>
