A few years ago, I remember, an incident happened on the embankment of Sukhum: a resting man went for a walk along the central embankment ... in swimming trunks. As a result, he had problems with local guys who were trying to culturally explain to a man that this is not accepted here, but in vain, the guy began to “swing” his rights. Unfortunately, it ended in conflict. So, what should not do a rest, so as not to overshadow his well-deserved rest: 1. Do not walk around the city in bathing suits and swimming trunks. It is clear that the tourist is a tourist, people come to relax, sunbathe and swim in the sea. Therefore, in the resort places you can dress on your own. But if you are going on a tour or visiting, in the countryside, visiting local people, visiting historical and cultural monuments try not to wear very transparent or too short clothes. 2. It is not necessary for girls and women to drink coffee at Brehalovka. The fact is that respected people, elders, Abkhaz men are going there. They drink coffee, play chess, talk. Even members of the government come to Brekhalovka, and not only Abkhazia. In general, women can not be there. But you can buy coffee and move away on a bench away and enjoy the aroma and fresh sea breeze. 3. Do not buy wine and chacha from unverified people. The consequences can be unpleasant, you will not get much poisoning, but also pleasure. Buying homemade wine is only through good friends, and if there are none, then it is better to take a bottle in the store. 4. Do not behave defiantly and rude, cursing and arguing loudly. For the most part, the Abkhaz are very good-natured and wise people, but at the same time serious and proud. This is still the Caucasus. Behave as simple as possible and within the limits of decency. On this depends on the attitude of local to you. Be rude - be sure that you will be treated the same way. In Abkhazia, it is not customary to sort things out in public; leave your disassembly until no one sees or hears you. 5. No need to litter and thus spoil the stunning beauty of nature. Needless to say, it is precisely the locals who throw garbage there, most of them are very cultured and decent people who love their country very much and never allow themselves to do badly in relation to their land. Please respect the traditions and moral principles of the country where you came and your rest will always be pleasant and unforgettable!
