**Uptober Commences!**

It wasn’t long after [**posting that a new all-time high was imminent**](https://sapphirecrypto.org/2025/10/03/bitcoin-the-domination-continues/) that Bitcoin soared to $125,000. Yes, Bitcoin has just printed a new all-time high, and given the recent stagnation in price action, this move is just the beginning. It is Uptober, and it appears to be living up to expectations. Even altcoins are beginning to print green candles.

Some altcoins are even up in the double digits, such as Litecoin, Solana, ETH, and DOGE. I recently posted an article addressing a strong annual close for altcoins. The following three months are expected to be kind to altcoins. This is what everyone has been waiting for, and it’s been a long wait indeed.

Solana is one of the few altcoins that is reasonably close to its all-time high. BNB, on the other hand, like [**Bitcoin**](https://sapphirecrypto.org/2025/07/11/passive-income-ideas-to-stack-more-sats/), is printing fresh all-time highs. Yes, this time is different. Finally, many have been expecting a shift, and finally it has occurred. As some altcoins trade near their all-time highs, others are trading near their all-time lows.

**Altcoins Choose A Stubborn Path**

If that isn’t evidence of a unique cycle, then I don’t know what is. If HIVE were trading near its all-time high, it would be trading above $3. However, like many others, it is trading near its bear market bottom. Polkadot is another good example of an altcoin trading on the wrong side of the spectrum. Could this change signal a level of independence for altcoins?

For example, Kaspa rallied thousands of percent in the heart of a bear market. Altcoins have not rallied in harmony with Bitcoin as in previous cycles. The positive aspect of such a scenario is that they could rally when Bitcoin is bearish, as in the case of Kaspa. If such a dynamic were to occur, it is likely to be an exception to the rule.

Don’t expect altcoins to rally when Bitcoin shifts to a bearish trend. However, certain altcoins could rally, depending on developments and partnerships. The altcoin market is evolving, particularly within the realm of [**micro-caps**](https://sapphirecrypto.org/2025/10/01/micro-caps-the-game-has-changed/).

**Final Thoughts**

Bitcoin has paved the way for a stunning Uptober and Altcoin Season. What remains to be seen is how altcoins respond. Furthermore, will Bitcoin continue higher as expected, ultimately unlocking the gates? These are purely my thoughts and shouldn’t be considered investment advice. All the best, see you next time!
