Hello my dear Steemians! I would like to share with you on the importance of planning for the future. 

Indeed, it was a blessing in disguise when my daughter applied for her daughter's educational plan with many benefits enclosed. One among others covered the plan holder's accident insurance.

When Antonia was admitted in the hospital, my mind was already in turmoil as to where on earth are we going to secure such big amount for the operation. 

I already had this nasty experience when my accident-prone son met a car accident with his uncle and cousin wherein about half a million was spent for their operation. 

Ironically, they had similar damage and that was years ago hence my mathematics is having wild computation. With the soaring prices of commodities at hand, it is very much expected that our hospital bills will be huge!

We were waiting for the insurance representative as which one were covered and which one is not. Soon, the waiting is over. The door opened and the reps announced the good news that the insurance coverage includes medicine, doctors' fees (for the surgeon and anesthesiologist) and room accommodation. 

Unfortunately, the implant was not covered which amounted to P30k.

The day came when the attending doctor permitted Antonia to be discharged with further instructions to return after 4 days for ortho check up.

Breakdown of bills covered:
• Medicine................P 56,000.00
• Professional fee.....   45,000.00
• Room @P1,900/day..  9,500.00
               TOTAL........(P110,500.00)

Cash paid:
• Miscellaneous..........P10,000.00
• titanium(implant)....   30,000.00

See the huge amount covered? It was such a relief really. Deep inside me, I thanked God for the wisdom and optimism of my daughter for the foresight and vigilance and all for the welfare of her daughter. 

Things do happen beyond the unexpected. I hope you got the moral lesson here guys.
