Of course, since laws are what keep everybody in “order” and they are quite literally what makes a country, a country. But laws are made by people and people do stupid things all the time. Even while making said laws! And I am going to do this country wise. So, sit back, relax and get ready for a chuckle or two!</p> <h1>Australia</h1> <p>1. In Victoria, Australia, it is illegal to change a light bulb unless you’re a licensed electrician.</p> <p>2. Men in the country are free to cross-dress, just as long as their dresses are not strapless.</p> <p>3. Children may not purchase cigarettes, but they may smoke them.</p> <p>4. Bangladeshi children of age 15 and older can be sent to jail for cheating on their final exams.</p> <h1>Britain</h1> <p>1. It is illegal to handle a salmon in suspicious circumstances.</p> <p>2. It is illegal to import potatoes into England or Wales if you have reasonable cause to believe that they are Polish.</p> <p>3. In Britain, you are not allowed to let your pet, mate with any pet from the royal house.</p> <p>4. It is illegal to operate a cow while intoxicated.</p> <p>5. It is illegal to die in parliament. It is illegal to show public affection on Sunday.</p> <p>3. It is illegal to kill a sick person by frightening them.</p> <h1>China</h1> <p>1. In July 2013 a law was passed in China that states it is illegal for adult children to not visit their parents “often” in China. They are also required to attend to their parent’s spiritual needs.</p> <p>2. To go to college you must be intelligent.</p> <h1>Denmark</h1> <p>1. In Danish restaurants, you don’t have to pay for your food unless, you are ‘full’ at the end of your meal.</p> <p>2. It is illegal to start your car without first checking to see if there are any children sleeping under the car.</p> <p>3. In Denmark it is not illegal for a convicted prisoner to escape from prison. If the escapee is caught he only serves the rest of his sentence.</p> <h1>France</h1> <p>1. In France, it is stated as illegal to marry a dead person.</p> <p>2. From 1799 to 2013, it was illegal for women to wear pants.</p> <p>3. It is illegal to kiss on railways in France.</p> <p>4. It is illegal to take photos of police officers or police vehicles, even if they are just in the background.</p> <h1>Hong Kong</h1> <p>1. In Hong Kong, there’s a law that allows a wife to kill her husband if she finds him cheating. It is forbidden to bring bears to the beach.</p> <h1>Japan</h1> <p>1. Being overweight is illegal in Japan.</p> <h1>Saudi Arabia</h1> <p>1. In Singapore it is illegal for a person to walk around the house naked.</p> <p>2. It is illegal to pee in an elevator.</p> <p>3. In Thailand, it is illegal to step on money.</p> <p>2. It is also illegal to leave your house without wearing underwear.</p> <p>3. Also, all cinema patrons must stand up during the National Anthem before a film starts.</p> <h1>USA</h1> <p>1. It is illegal to stab oneself and gain the pity of others. (Alabama)</p> <p>2. A man is allowed to beat his wife, but only once a month. (Arizona)</p> <p>3. A person who detonates a nuclear device within city limits is fined up to $500. (California)</p> <p>4. Car dealers cannot show cars to customers on Sundays. (Colorado) </p> <p>5. It is against the law to educate dogs. (Connecticut)</p> <p>6. It is illegal to give whiskey to a dog, in Chicago.</p> <p>7. It is illegal to indulge in 'spiteful gossip' and 'talking behind a person's back'. (Indiana)</p> <p>8. A person needs a license to walk around nude in his/her property. (Kentucky)</p> <p>9. It is illegal to take a lion to the movies in Baltimore. (Maryland)</p> <p>10. A man is not allowed to run around with a shaved chest. (Nabraska)</p> <p>11. Jumping off the Empire State Building is illegal.</p> <p>12. It is illegal to lie down and fall asleep with your shoes on.
