What Would You Want - True Wireless Charging Or One Week Battery Life?

In almost every aspect, technology has seen exponential growth. All the different areas of human endeavours are continuously seeing rapid progress. In consumer electronics, computing, medical science, space technologies, you name it!

We have become habituated with all this fast-paced progress. That is especially because of our computers and smartphones. We are just used to seeing large jumps in performances every single year.

Since computing is one of the most important parts of our lives, we want those to continue as our needs and demands for higher and more efficient performance also keep increasing.

But there is one area that has not seen that much progress. Well, it has in some ways but not the kind we are used to and not the kind we would like to have. What I'm talking about is battery technology. We still use lithium-ion batteries that have been around for the longest time. Although they serve us well, they need constant charging and having many devices compounds that problem.

# True Wireless Charging Vs One Week Battery
#####

There are two technologies that can make life very easy. One is wireless charging and the other is all week battery life. Although none are close to being developed yet, it is quite interesting to think about them. Especially if we are to have a choice between them.

True wireless charging would help us get rid of all those pesky wires. Just as we get our internet from wifi devices and we don't even think about it, we could one day get wireless power from a wall socket without thinking about it. Since our phones would be receiving constant power, battery life wouldn't be an issue.

The second option is the one-week battery. Even if it takes 2 hours to charge, and it lasts an entire week, it is worth it. In fact, that would be the holy grail of battery storage technology. In such a case, it wouldn't matter if true wireless charging happens or not.

So, which one would make life more convenient? It sounds like all-week battery life would be better. But true wireless charging would also be useful to power TVs, PlayStations, light bulbs around the house or any other electronic gadgets, all wirelessly. That would be really convenient as well!
