Students are promoted to the next grade equipped with enough knowledge for the next year/grade level. </p> <h2>But why has the Education system in Public Schools in the Philippines unfortunately deteriorating? </h2> <p>As a teacher this is the scenario I face every year. I wanna cite some of the factors why students capability to learn decreases.  <sub>*Had to home visit this students for they are constantly absent or late in class.*</sub> * Absenteeism and Tardiness, a number of students come to class 30 minutes late or absent in class. Students who come late in class usually miss the discussion for the day giving them lesser chance to learn, even worse with students who are absent. They miss the days lesson. </p>  <sub>*My students daily route on the way to school*</sub> * Distance since most students live far they either become lazy to walk to school and instead of attending class they tend to go with their friends.</p> * Hunger, most students come to school with an empty stomach. Its hard to comprehend when you are hungry. Students who get lie scores are most probably those who did not eat breakfast.  <sub>*Some students sleep in class and don't even participate in any class activity*</sub> * Since students are hungry they tend to be sleepy in class. Or they just didn't have enough sleep because of work, or they just spent late playing computer games. They are less attentive in class. </h3>  <sub>*Passed by this student of mine who quit school, I was on my way to home visit a student who is always absent. This child had to quit to take care of her younger sister*</sub> * Drop out's, when a student decide to quit school we teachers ask our students for reasons for quitting. There are times that it breaks our hearts to hear that they had to quit school because they have to take care of their younger siblings. Or a student choose to stop from school because he has to work. What can a teacher do when their parents choose to let them quit.  <sub>*From 56 students in a classroom I only have 42 students left. Some of them quit school.*</sub> There are a lot of factors that can be a hindrance to students capability to learn. Peer pressure, social media, internet, poverty and so much more to mention.  <sub>*Only a few students choose to participate in class.*</sub> As an educator it is always a challenge for us to fight against all these. As much as possible we give quality education everyday. It is such a great feeling to see your students learn,but not all students have the same interest. As the school ends I want to see my students be promoted to the next grade level but unfortunately there might be some who can't. So the challenge for me is to visit them and let them come back school.  <sub>*On my way to Home visit a student*</sub> Blessed are we for having opportunity to have better education. These students of mine, some can proceed to college some of them don't. This students are usually misunderstood for how they look, but when if you were in their shoe you would feel how lucky you are for the life you have right now.
