<center> ## Introduction </center> ___ <div class="text-justify"> **Hi!** @saydie here playing **Splinterlands** everyday! This was another week to lit the flames of **Rebellion** as the presale was currently on- going. The first 24 hours already have sold more than half of the 500k packs and was already considered a big success for the company but if you have still yet to buy those packs, they were still many of them available in the Splinyerlands in- game market. **Remember**! There will be 2 promo cards that only comes along with the presale packs, similar to Doctor Blight, which means their supply will be incredibly low. As for me, I already bought 25 packs and if there were still some packs left until the end of presale, I probably might be able to save some funds and buy more. <br> At the same time, this new set will bring new characters that will further add to the very rich lore of Splinterlands and intensifies the battles. For this post, I would discuss the currently known Rebellion cards, including those that were introduced during the **Splinterfest** ## Rebellion Promo Cards https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://i.imgur.com/IoOruhu.jpg <center>[Source](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterfest-the-coming-rebellion)</center> With the new card sets comes with new characters and as I said, the presale has already revealed two new monsters with their stats as a promo card. **Grimbardun Smith** </div> <div class="pull-left"> </div> |Edition| (Promo) Rebellion| |-|-| |Mana Cost|6| |Element | Neutral| |Rarity| Rare| |Card Type| Default| |Max Stats| 1 https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/AKNHMVQ49NpchCemwQ2RgjusNLnP8HjK11qQd6Afw2W5a2ZdDoEyYyZNycwkLPS.png<br> 3 https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/AK2D3YHkBEoorxaEyCMY9Mi1sciiNAd7nd58YtBQC689EB46gPfn8YdSBDbmpnR.png<br> 10 https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/AKNJ2fjkzvmuTjLx8pKD3NCmkDmo1tzxj4zaTS9kEdDyU9YVdSx86auDxqWNQTz.png| |Abilities| [Immunity](https://splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=52)<br> [Void](https://splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=12)<br> [Shield](https://splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=5)<br> [Repair](https://splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=24)| ___ <div class="text-justify"> **Grimbardum Smith** was a neutral non- damage card with both *Void* and *Shield* which reduce the damage it received from melee, range and magic attacks. It also have *Repair* which restore the armor of an ally monster and *Immunity* which makes it immune from negative status effects. For Chaos Legion summoner compatibility, gaining additional armor from **Kelya Frendul** and **Grandmaster Rathe** would make the best use of its *Repair* then all you need is to have a healer and it can be hard tank to defeat specially during *Fog of War* ruleset. |||| |-|-|-| |<center>https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/icons/rulesets/new/img_combat-rule_fog-of-war_150.png<br>Fog of War</center>|https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Kelya%20Frendul_lv8.png||https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Merdaali%20Guardian_lv8.png| or|||https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Grandmaster%20Rathe_lv4.png ||https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/reward/Venari%20Crystalsmith_lv8.png| As it was a Non-damage card, it would also highly benefit when placed next to monsters having the *Weapons Training* ability that gives half of the monster's attack on an adjacent monsters if they have no attack. |||||||||| |-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-| | |+|https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/soulbound/Ferexian%20Hero_lv4.png|https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/soulbound/Kulu%20Mastermind_lv4.png|https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/soulbound/Ava%20the%20Undaunted_lv4.png|https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/soulbound/Aves%20Sturgis_lv4.png|https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/soulbound/Skok%20Duskblight_lv4.png|https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/soulbound/Berix%20Snakeye_lv4.png|https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/promo/Zyriel_lv4.png| <br> **Mantaroth** </div> <div class="pull-left"> </div> |Edition| (Promo) Rebellion| |-|-| |Mana Cost|11| |Element | Neutral| |Rarity| Legendary| |Card Type| Melee| |Max Stats| 3 <br>2 https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/AKNHMVQ49NpchCemwQ2RgjusNLnP8HjK11qQd6Afw2W5a2ZdDoEyYyZNycwkLPS.png<br> 4 https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/AK2D3YHkBEoorxaEyCMY9Mi1sciiNAd7nd58YtBQC689EB46gPfn8YdSBDbmpnR.png<br> 11 https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/saydie/AKNJ2fjkzvmuTjLx8pKD3NCmkDmo1tzxj4zaTS9kEdDyU9YVdSx86auDxqWNQTz.png| |Abilities| [Shield](https://splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=5)<br> Armored Strike<br> [True Strike](https://splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=56)<br> [Repair](https://splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=24)<br> [Blast](https://splintercards.com/abilities.php?ab=22)| </div> <div class="text-justify"> **Mantaroth** on the other hand was a legendary neutral melee card which also have the *Shield* and *Repair* which allows it to reduce damage from melee and range attacks as well as *True Strike* which allows it to not miss its target and *Blast* that deals additional damage on monsters adjacent to the target monster. What's more is that it was the first ever card to include the *Armored Strike* ability that gives additional melee attack using its armor stats. I'm not quite sure how this ability works whether the armor would be remove and be added to its melee or it would retain its armor and still gain the additional attack or how the ability will react when it faces monsters with *Shatter* and *Rust*. But I'll bet that this ability loses its effect on *Unprotected* ruleset while becomes more powerful on *Armored Up* ruleset. That's why for this card, **Kelya Frendul** and **Grandmaster Rathe** could also be a good summoner choice. |||| |-|-|-| |https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Kelya%20Frendul_lv8.png||https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Merdaali%20Guardian_lv8.png| or|||https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Grandmaster%20Rathe_lv4.png ||https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Adelade%20Brightwing_lv4.png| But aside from that, I could also see its potential with **Conqueror Jacek** that will give him the *Pierce* ability which means that its attacks will not be wasted on its armor and can damage the targets health together with *Blast* that cleaves additional damage on adjacent monster. After all when **Rebellion** comes out and Untamed has moved to Wild format there will be no more **Yodin Zaku** on Modern format so the element with the most will be the Fire Element so it could create amazing *Blast* synergy with the rest of Fire monsters. |||| |-|-|-| |https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Conqueror%20Jacek_lv4.png||https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/rift/Immolation_lv4.png| https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/reward/Countess%20Sinash_lv4.png ## Rebellion Characters From Splinterfest Aside from the two promo cards there were at least 5 other Rebellion cards that were previously introduced during the **Splinterfest** so as for why there was no update about this cards, it may be related to their frame designs, specifically the icons below the card element which could be related to spells that can be acquired on land that until now was still at its early phase. I doubt they would scrap this characters since they already have their stablished lore and they probably are just making some rework on their abilities and stats to fit more with the current gameplay. ||For this card, **Kha'zi Falconer**, it seems like it belongs to the Fire Element and was an archer. It does not have the stats revealed yet so we cannot determine what abilities that it have.| |-|-| || By the looks of it, **Nomos** was an epic Fire monster with magic attack that cost 7 mana and as for its abilities, it has the *Blast* and *Snipe* and assuming that it could retain its *Blast*, then my earlier lineup with **Mantaroth** would be even more powerful when **Nomos** was added. ||||| |-|-|-|-| |https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Conqueror%20Jacek_lv4.png||https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/rift/Immolation_lv4.png| | https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/reward/Countess%20Sinash_lv4.png ||| |-|-| ||**Croire** was an epic Earth melee monster with the *Opportunity* and *Poison* ability which could be really interesting cause it was similar with **Deeplurker** and we know how OP specially at higher levels **Deeplurker** is. || **Executioner Kraan** was a legendary Death monster with melee attack and was like a combination of **Harklaw** and **Legionnaire Alvar** with the combination of **Immunity**, **Giant Killer** and **Deathblow** plus the **Life Leech** ability. ||**Silverblade Fighter** probably was a melee monster that belongs to the Life element but as the first one, it also has no stats and no abilities that is revealed yet. <br> ## Rebellion Characters teased on Town Hall There were also some cards that were teased during the latest [Townhall](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-town-hall-summary-october-23rd-2023) though their stats has not been revealed but you can tell by their background on which element do they belong if you base it upon the Rebellion cards from the Splinterfest. <div class="pull-left"> </div> <div class="text-justify"> <br> The first one should be long to the Fire Element and with the spiky bat that it holds, it probably has melee attack. </div> ___ <div class="pull-left"> </div> <div class="text-justify"> <br> For the next one, it should belong to the Earth element and with it not holding any weapon, it could be a magic monster, add to the fact that the current Earth Element has become the new magic and anti-magic meta for the Modern format with the summoners **Obsidian** and **Immortalis**. </div> ___ <div class="pull-left"> </div> <div class="text-justify"> <br> This monster also seems to be a magic card that seems to fell on the Water element by the way that it holds a crystal ball and by the looks of it, it's name might follow with the Kulu race, following **Kulu Swimmhunter** and **Kulu Mastermind** but I could be wrong. </div> </div> <center> ## Final Thoughts </center> ___ <div class="text-justify"> Splinterlands has a wide variety of cards that can be used to battle in the fields of Preatoria but they were not just random cards. Along with them was the interconnected lore that gives background to this monsters and with the rise of Rebellion were gonna go to see more of this cards. For now, I have taken a look on the monsters that are currently known to us but this was not a fraction of what's to come and would cause impact to the game. That was all for this post and see you on the next one! </div> <div class="text-justify"> <center> #### Previous Post </center> <div class="text-justify"> |||| |-|-|-| |<center>[](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@saydie/exploring-the-chaos-core-death-epics)</center>|<center>[](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@saydie/exploring-the-chaos-core-neural-epics-and-legendary)</center>|<center>[](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@saydie/exploring-the-chaos-core-fire-legendaries)</center>| |||| |<center>[](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@saydie/exploring-the-chaos-core-water-legendaries)</center>|<center>[](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@saydie/exploring-the-chaos-core-earth-legendaries)</center>|<center>[](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@saydie/vonak-lit-the-flames-of-rebellion-splinterlands-5th-core-set)</center>| </div> <center> <div class="phishy"> To read previous articles, just click on the image of the article that you want to read. </div> ___ All the image that I edited here belongs to Splinterlands.
