Burl used to dance showing this gif image on the Neoxian server and Shrazi, Beyond, and Vickoly kept reminding each other to power up. Like Shrazi, I too ate up some of my monsters, hives, and tokens to help with personal stuff but now I was so inspired by all of them that I decided to power up 1000 hive and got the dolphin status on the first of January, 2023. I joined in September 2017 and it has taken many years to level up to a dolphin but then it was a slow and steady journey, of course.

I am not an employed person and I just work on our farm and do the chores. So, there is that. Splinterlands happened and I kept playing steadily and invested back whatever I had earned. Then life changed when the **Untamed** sale was over and SPS was introduced. So, a huge thanks to the @splinterlands team for changing my life forever. 



I did rent out my main account but I am now playing my alt - @filler in the bronze league and hope to level up slowly. Meanwhile, Hive power up attracted me so much and also something told me that Hive is going to change more lives soon. 

The hive that I have powered up is delegated to many projects that will help support new members and also encourage more bloggers such as the @indiaunited community, @bdcommunity @brofund Neoxian and also voting on my own. I also pick good articles irrespective of the nation to vote on behalf of India United and Neoxian as I am a curator for these projects. India United recently upvoted most of the *Prompts* posts contest that took place on the Neoxian city which was run by @momogrow Please do check out her blog. We also run a @neo-care project. You can check it for details regarding completed projects. Hive is a life saver for those in developing countries.

I do hope to power up more along the way. Today, I powered up 250 hive as it is a power-up day. I also intend to power up daily. I did get the badge for the month of January for powering up daily and it is a joy to see the yellow color.



You may wonder why it is such a big thing. As a user of hive who has struggled with gaining more power, it is a thrill and excitement to power up and realize that you are on the way to becoming a part of the blockchain that can and is changing lives without the help of outside agencies or having to beg for support.

### Today, I can hand out hive and request people to donate to poor students halfway across the world. Would that be possible a decade back? No. 
## So, that's why Hive power up day matters to me. 

Powering up hive makes you stronger and also convinces others that you are here for real. You are here not just to earn hive and run away with it. Hive power gives you the strength to work for a noble cause. So, if you are a blogger on Hive, please do not hesitate to power up at least one hive daily and a minimum of ten hive every first day of a new month.
