Someone told me that I was against free speech because I encourage people to rightly identify facts verse opinions. I wouldn't call for this to be enforced, but it is very reasonable to encourage and support telling the truth and not misleading people. The point here is that even though the message boiled down to "you shouldn't lie" someone tried to attribute a negative motive to my rhetoric and create an enemy out of someone who supports what they advocate for which is free speech. This is unproductive to civil discussion and only encourages polarization and discourse.
