Having lost hugely on eclectic Ponzi and pyramid schemes in early part of 2017, I was very skeptical of every other platforms. You really can't blame me as I was still mourning my investment that got drained in Ponzi. 

After much persuasion by my friend @ceyebrity, I finally agreed to join the platform and my account was speedily approved ( it took a week).

I was brimming with confidence, finally I have discovered a fortune making legit online platform in form of steemit. I just couldn't wait to start earning hundreds or even thousands of dollars, a thought influenced by trending topics that often graced my feed as a newbie.

It wasn't long I got the shock of my life, my first posts earn me a meagre 0.09 cents. I was devastated, broking, confused, lost, disappointed, any negative filling would be a perfect fit.

Then I started learning, I started in-depth research into how to be successful on steemit, then I discovered it more than the contents. It's a community, to succeed here, you need integration. You need to become part of the community.

I am indebted to I-rise community, then started series of lectures to help newbie grow and gradually my fortune starting appreciating thanks to tid bits from I-rise.

I learnt alot in my first week and I am still learning, if you ask me, I would say steemit is my best decision of 2018 so far.
