My name is Daniel Sieradski. I am a design technologist, writer, activist, and new media jack-of-all-trades, who has been creating things and organizing on the Internet for over 20 years. I have worked in media, marketing, and the nonprofit sectors for most of my professional life. At one time or another, I have been a journalist, publisher, producer, designer, developer, consultant, promoter, disc jockey, spoken word artist, seminary student, lecturer, and black bloc anarchist. I am a father of two young boys, am married to a registered nurse, and after spending many years in New York City and Jerusalem, presently live in Upstate New York where I work as a remote employee for a significant online publication.

I am also well known as a serial social entrepreneur in the American Jewish community. I was the founder of Jewschool.com (a popular Jewish blog), Occupy Judaism (the Jewish contingent at Occupy Wall Street, where I organized a Yom Kippur service attend by over 1,000 people), Jews for Bernie (a political action committee), Corner Prophets (an Israeli-Palestinian hip-hop collective), and the Syracuse chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace (a Jewish Palestinian solidarity organization), among other initiatives.

I'm going to be upfront and say, I'm not sure Steemit is the community for me, and that's because it seems to be one heavily dominated by right-libertarians, anarcho-capitalists, and the alt-right. I'm an East Coast Jewish libertarian socialist and antifascist — AKA a white genocidaire, Cultural Marxist, raving SJW nutbag, destroyer of Western civilization, domestic terrorist, etc. I hate white supremacists, misogynists, homophobes, nationalists, capitalists, conspiracy theorists, and think Nazis should be punched. So I'm not precisely sure I'm going to fit in very well here. But the Jewish mystics teach that you must go into the darkest places in order to draw forth the light, so, "hineini" — here I am.

I hope to provide valuable insight on issues relating to the Jewish communal interest, combatting organized hate, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict — but also on my other, less controversial interests, such as web technology, privacy and surveillance, psychedelic medicine, and new media production. Even if you disagree with my views, I hope you will find what I have to offer thought provoking, engaging, and animating.
