https://youtu.be/y63MDy-S3Sk Even if the noble souls who possess compassionate feelings go out of way by mistake, they correct themselves immediately and become tools for helping others. Also, even if the flow of a river takes different curves on its way, it will still be useful for the people and reaches its goal, the ocean. Sukanya and Chyavana are the best examples for this. Sukanya is the daughter of king Sharyathi. She was very noble. Once, she went to forest along with her father. There were several servants along with her. While Sukanya was roaming about in the forest, she observed a very big anthill. It had two holes. The light emerging from them was radiating outside. The innocent Sukanya, after seeing this, pierced the holes with a blade of grass from which the bright light was emerging. Immediately, the holes started bleeding and human groaning sound started coming thereafter. Father Sharyathi went there, observed the sample of sand over there and trembled in fear. The very old, sage Chyavana was residing inside that anthill. Both of his eyes were bleeding and they became blind. Instantly, king fell on the feet of the sage for apology. Then, the sage said, "O king! Because of the mistake committed by your daughter, I have become blind for my entire lifetime. I need some one as my support. Your daughter is the one who is responsible for all this wrong doing. Hence, she must marry me." Both the king and Sukanya gave their consent to this wholeheartedly. As a result, their marriage took place. Sukanya served her husband out of devotion and commitment. One day, the duo, Ashwini devtas visited their ashrama and asked if she would marry any one of them. As soon as she heard of these words, she became furious and warned them that she might have to curse them if they repeated those words. However, they only wanted to test her. They did not mean anything else. That is why, they asked her to seek for a boon, out of happiness. She then asked them to remove the blindness of her husband. They agreed, but upon a condition - Ashwini devtas and Chyavana will take bath in the nearby river. Then, all the three will appear alike. Sukanya has to identify her real husband amongst the three. This was the condition. All the three took bath and came to her. Sukanya prayed to Goddess Lalitha and identified her husband. The Ashwini devtas became extremely happy and blessed Chyavana with good vision and youthfulness. They were surprised to see her devotion towards her husband and blessed her wholeheartedly. They gave him with good health and an attractive body. But, they in return requested for havirbhaga (a part of rituals) in the yagnas conducted by the sage. He agreed to this condition. After some time, king Sharyathi came to see Sukanya and Chyavana. After learning what had happened, he became veru happy. In this manner, even if the great people like Sukanya, out of danger, commit some mistakes, they correct it and achieve the goal. Similarly, we too must observe our mistakes and try to correct them. Instead, it is wrong to support them. Many commit mistakes and support them saying that what they have done is something different from what their inner feeling is. Committing a sin itself is wrong but on top of that, many try to make up. This is not good. One has to face atonement and receive the punishment for the mistake done. In this manner, if one does the real spiritual practice, one will reach the goal. Each and every human being will certainly commit mistakes. Understanding that and not repeating the same will elevate one to higher level. Jai Srimannarayana!
