In the beginning of this year, Samsung started making a GDDR6 memory chip on 10 nm class processing for graphics cards.

Now Samsung has made 8 Gigabit LPDDR5 chips for next-generation phones. Remember that 10 nm class processing means "10 nm and 20 nm". It does not have 10 nm nodes.

These new chips will have a transfer rate of 6400 megabytes per second, which is 50% better than the current best chips LPDDR4X's transfer rate of 4266 MB per second.

This will be a great speed when chip gets 1.1V power. 1.05V mode for low power operation is also available, with a speed of 5500 MBps.

Its voltage is not fixed, but operating speed is changing.

Its Deep Slip mode requires half power from LPDDR4X.

It is estimated that 30 percent of power will be saved from its normal use.

Samsung hopes that the chips will be able to control the artificial intelligence application on the high bandwidth of the phones capable of 5G.

Samsung will make this chip in its Pongtec, Korean factory.
