This tree is by the lake in Llandrindod Wells.  I've taken many photos of it over the years.  It was struck by lightning and looked dead at one time but was in good health by the spring.  You can see where the damage was caused in this photo, I remember it looked hollow at one time but new wood has grown, filling the split.  There's still no leaves on the tree in April this year but I'm sure it will be covered by the summer and the leaves will look good in the autumn.
