 --- <br> If I was able to find a solution to one of the five following issues: unemployment, illiteracy, homelessness, animal cruelty and organised crime, I would hands down choose homelessness. <br> Home is a place where most people look forward going to at the end of a hard day's work but what about those that don't have a home, where do they go. Sadly, they are just on the streets. Most of the times it wasn't there choice; who would want to live on the streets let's be real. I believe everyone deserves a place they can call home. Having shelter is one of the basic human needs in life. It's a place where we can feel safe and sleep peacefully. <br>  <br> I'm fortunate to have lived in a home my whole life. I can't imagine not being able to take a shower freely with nice hot water. I can't even imagine how people survive through the cold winters and hot summers outside on the streets. This brings me to a true story that I faced when I met someone homeless. I was driving by and I saw someone on the road with a sign asking for help. This wasn't really a common thing in my area and I felt their pain. When I moved out, I barely had any money saved and sometimes I would skip meals because I only had enough money to pay my rent. I parked somewhere nearby and bought them Burger King. I didn't ask too much about their situation but I felt good that I could at least get them something to eat. <br> We have to be grateful for what we have and realize how fortunate we are sometimes. There's some people that don't have a place to stay or food to eat and they are barely getting by day by day. If we are more fortunate, we can donate to those that are in need. It doesn't have to be monetary; it can also be with our time.
