Does school prepare one for the real world? *Study hard and get good grades and you will find a high paying jobs with great benefits* "most parents use to say ." This system of programming has made many believe ,if we don't graduate from college , we won't get a good job.getting a good education and making good grades no longer ensures success and nobody seems to have noticed . The advice of going to school ,get good grades and get a high paying jobs may have worked for people born before 1945, but it maybe disastrous for those of us born into a rapidly changing world. I am pro-education and I believe in education reform. Otherwise why should I continue to press for changing our antiquated educational system . I so much believe in education but I have a problem when people believe we are bond for failure without a college degree and a good grade . School and life are like two roads diverged in a wood, I believe in reaching to where I want to fast by taking the one less travelled by. The road less traveled by ,I would say is the best teacher of all, it teaches by pushing you around , each push is saying wakeup, there is something I want you to learn and that part is life and experience . If you learn the lessons that's what build you into being successful . Thinking that a job will make you feel secure is lying to yourself . If you want to be rich ,you need to be financially literate and being financially literate isn't taught in school ,life and experience does. Today kids wants to be basketball stars, footballers, musician, movie stars, computer nerds, beauty queens or traders simply because that is where the fame, money and prestige is, that is the reason it is so hard to motivate kids in school today. They know that professional success is no longer solely linked to academic success, as it once was. Many financial problems are caused by going along with the crowd and trying to keep up with the Jones. Occasionally ,we all need to look in the mirror and be true to our inner wisdom rather than our fears . A problem with college is that you often become what you study, the problem with becoming what you study is that too many people forget to invest into building a firm of their own. You spend your life working for someone to become rich. In real world outside of academic something more than just grades is required ,it's called "daring, boldness ,tenacity, gut " this factors ultimately decides ones future more than college grades.in the real world only the bold get ahead not the smart. It's not people who know one solution : *work hard, save and borrow* ,it's how creative you are in solving financial problems. In school we learn mistakes are bad and usually get punished for that ,yet human are designed to learn through mistakes. School has programmed our mind toward being afraid of making mistakes as such we live a life of pretence and suppresses our potentials from being explore. School has designed us to work just to earn money instead of working to learn .Am not against school at all ,am only against limiting your knowledge on the promises school offer . Life alone let us study less about alot . It's OK to go broke before 30,you still have time to recover but before then make sure you have learnt alot from life and school. The net result of a professional, is that most workers never get ahead, they do what they've been taught to do "get a secure job" most workers focus on working for pay and the benefit that reward them in the short term but this is often disastrous in the long run.
