<div class="text-justify"> <center>**Você pode conferir a postagem em <a href="#anchorlink">PT-BR!</a>**</center> _____ <center> [Source](https://unsplash.com/pt-br/fotografias/homem-sentado-de-frente-para-monitor-k_T9Zj3SE8k)</center> There is an old discussion that always puts two very different elements on an imaginary scale, which, in addition to being very controversial, leads us to an indefinite case about who is more right about the other. Obviously, what I will share is my point of view on this subject, where as I usually say, we don't have right or wrong, we just have different points of view that each person has. ## ***And what could this subject be?*** Worked hard and focused or luck? Which prevails? As said, it is a very controversial subject, many argue that people only reach high places in their professional career because they were lucky, be it a rich family, different contacts or even the beauty of their body as lucky instruments that helped them grow. Not that this is wrong, those who were lucky, had it and that's it, that's something immutable. In this regard, we cannot combat how lucky the person was to be lucky. Redundant? Certainly, but, in my opinion, luck should not be the main reason for things to happen, especially because I never had the great luck of having everything in hand, I was not born with the “heir” class selected and as in a RPG game, I can say that I am the warrior. Hard work will always be more rewarding, that's my opinion. I hate to say that I've been lucky in things, because I honestly don't consider myself that way, everything I've achieved, in reality and virtually over these years, has been purely focused work, always looking for the best opportunities and clearly without pulling anyone's rug out. For me, it doesn't make sense to grow if I need to step on someone to do so, I've never done that and if someone feels like I did, it's definitely a misunderstanding. <center> [Source](https://unsplash.com/pt-br/fotografias/pintura-de-levantamento-de-peso-de-pessoa-vqDAUejnwKw)</center> A cool example of this was here at the company where I work, it was still new, with about 2 or 3 years of work, to give you an idea, I've been here for 12 years, which was when I got my first promotion. There was an urgent demand to create and implement in our product code, a type of credit voucher, called NCC (Consumer Credit Note), in which this process consisted of generating a credit voucher when returning products, as if it were a type of exchange. The big difference was that in the case of a normal exchange, you arrive and return the products, take the returned value and use it on another purchase, usually at the same time, with NCC, a voucher with a barcode is generated and so you have an expiration date to use on another day and even in another store if you wish. As it was something new and could give us an advantage over other competitors' products, we managed to implement the entire process in about 3 days of heavy development and testing, in which the team, together with my effort in applying everything needed in the code, was exceptional. Therefore, I was highly praised and received my promotion. As I said, for me there was no luck in achieving this, but rather hard work and the desire to make the project happen, in which, in the end, I was rewarded with an increase in my salary. Of course, we will not always be rewarded and that is frustrating, but even so, I believe that we must continue working, carrying out the life projects we have planned. One day things will work out, because it will be the result of your work and the size of your determination and willpower to change your reality, seeking something better for your life. If today didn't work, we can try tomorrow and everything can happen in a completely different way and the results can be what we hope for. <center> [Source](https://unsplash.com/pt-br/fotografias/dois-homens-usando-computador-e-laptop-fSWOVc3e06w)</center> Therefore, my view is that, even if we are not lucky enough to be born with a silver spoon, this is not an excuse for us to simply accept our situation and let ourselves go. We can fight to achieve something better and for that, focused work is essential, in which we pursue a dream or objective. Standing still, crying, giving up, that won't change our luck, much less our life, now hard work can certainly make all the difference. ***Thank you very much to everyone who donated a little of their time to read.
