## Superheroes 
#
We live during a time of Super Heroes being popular in the movies, books and both anime and manga. The success of the Marvel movie franchise and things like the Star Wars movie franchise support my statement. 

Super Heroes by definition are entities, which have Superpowers. Which are usually unique capabilities or characteristics. Those characteristics include traits like being super fast, super durable or things like shooting lasers from their eyes or from their hands. 

I propose that it’s fun and useful to describe blockchains as entities which also have super powers, and describe their super powers in terms of usefulness, and uniqueness. 

For example Bitcoin, as an entity has the following superpowers; of being a decentralized, distributed network with immutability and cryptographic security.

## Hive 

The word or name Hive refers to the name of a blockchain, a blogging community and a cryptocurrency. 

Perhaps we should consider that some of these should be spelled with an upper case or capitol H, while others should be spelled with a lower case H.

Hive, the blockchain, is an entity, which has several characteristics, like having a distributed proof of stake consensus mechanism, and having fast, free transactions. I think Fast, Free Transactions is a Super Power. 

Hive also has the hive wallet, and the wallet address of any account on Hive is that username, not a 23 character alpha numeric public cryptographic address. This means John Smiths wallet address, is John Smith, if his user name is John Smith, which is much easier to remember then a typical blockchain wallet public address like 135f246D7924G$456afd432fe. 
The Hive wallet also has a savings account to earn interest and a staking program to earn interest and provide rewards for engagement, content creation and completing important community work.

Hive as a blockchain is an entity with certain certain special skills or characteristics, which I call Super Powers. 
I think Hive can also be considered a Super Hero because it has special and unique characteristics or skills, which are unique to Hive and improve the safety and security of Hive. I think when we talk about Hive to our friends we should be proud to talk about its Super Powers and how they keep our tokens safe and make them more useful.
