Gunung Seulawah Agam is a mountain located in Seulimeum ​​District, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province.

Besides being known as Seulawah Agam, the mountain which has a height of 1726 masl has other names such as, Solawa Agam, Solawaik Agam, Selawadjanten, and Goldberg. Seulawah Agam Crater is known as Heutsz Crater and there is also a crater called Tanah Simpago

Mount Seulawah Agam is formed due to the meeting of the Indo-Australian plate that moves relatively to the north, under the Eurasian Continent Crust Plate. As a result of the study, the melting process of the Indo-Autralia Ocean becomes a magma, which then breaks through the surface through a weak zone and then forms Mount Seulawah Agam.

Gunung Seulawah Agam is located in Kec. Seulawah Valley, Kab. Aceh Besar. Mount Seulawah Agam is one of the type C volcanoes in Aceh Province. On August 16 & 21 1975, there was a roar and smoke coming out of Mount Seulawah Agam

Seulawah is a mountain name known by the people of Aceh with its peak Seulawah Agam and Seulawah Dara and also as a Leuser Ecosystem Buffer Area, this area has an area of ​​approximately 1.4 million ha covering the area of ​​West Aceh, Nagan Raya, Aceh Jaya, Aceh Besar, Pidie, Bireun and Central Aceh. Seulawah area with a minimum air temperature of 19-21 C and a maximum of 25-30 C with rainfall ranging from 2,000 - 2,500 mm per year, with an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level (Mdpl).

With cool natural conditions and high rainfall, there are many types of flora and fauna in the area such as: Elephants known as Pocut Meurah, deer, tigers, bears, mouse deer, wild pigs, mackerel, porcupines and snakes, are also found various types of birds that always decorate this area. The breadth of a steep hill covered by various types of wood such as meranti, copat, fir, beramah, urip, deriam and semantuk so as to support life for living things in the region.
