EDITING IMAGES UNTIL THE COWS COME HOME
### Each month I usually do about 500 image edits. I'm into editing my own photos and art, as well as other peoples pictures, so there are usually a big pile to sort into folders at the end of each month

But this month I'm doing more than usual. Over the past two days I've just done about 300 photos for @kiwideb who is organising a presentation for her mum's 80th

These photos mostly range from 1920's to 1980's. And about a third are black and white. But we are not talking carefully preserved crisp classic photos here. We are talking rough as guts old snapshots that have had a hard life.

If I had more time and less photos I'd be more anal and put them through Photoshop as well, but this is high speed editing - just tidying them up for presenting on a big TV screen.

With some of them there is physical damage to fix:

*Leaving some stuff unfixed is good for me I think - a sort of anal therapy*

Most of them mainly need some cropping to bring the attention onto the people rather than the background.

And then to give them all a consistent style I finish each one with a white frame with curved corners (you may have noticed me doing that before!)

*Thank me later @andysantics48*

After doing all those I thought I'd be a bit burned out from editing, but what has actually happened is that I ended up wanting to carry on by editing more of my own photos, and more of my art.

Yesterday I did a post about Kuratua where I edited my photos into 16x9 ratio and tweaked them a bit.

And last night I was getting into taking my rough as guts doodles and turning them into art. What I've been practicing mainly is going really fast and seeing what happens.

This is a scan of doodle in my diary where you can even see the lines on the page.

After putting it through some "GoArt" filters, and then some doing edits in "Snapseed" it has a whole new look.

I got carried away and did about another 100 edits of rough art last night.

Here is another one:

### But then the cows came home so I had to stop :)
