Too much resistance to the plot hook, the greater the chance it'll fail. Fishing metaphors and terminology aside, it's just plain hard to portray my thoughts cohesively without feeling the inclination to ramble and let what I write grow stale. My name is Luke, but online I'm often referred to as SilverIntent or S-Intent. I am 27, living in Oregon ... but likely going to be moving back to Iowa within the next month or so. I'm purely self-taught, although I do have aspirations to go to college and refine my skills. However, that dream is becoming less of an opportunity and more a situation of impossibility ... not because of my own incapability in regards to raw talent, or what I could learn from college, but by lack of financial means. I have a slight distrust of colleges, especially with how prevalent for-profit colleges, and predatory loans, are likely going to become under today's political climate. Nevertheless, I don't want to debate politics. I've tried other avenues of networking, trying to build this true dream I have of creating my own art studio. It's hard. I've been a freelance artist for the last ... three to four years of my life as my primary income, only recently having to take on part-time jobs to help supplement my income. I want to work for myself and be my own boss ... I want to work on a career, not an odd-job to make ends meat. My father, @carpenterbee; actually turned me to this website. From what I've been reading, it's really interesting. It grows, it seems, very organically through the Steemit community, and I hope to become part of that. As an artist, I'm always searching for good, constructive feedback.
These time lapse is unfortunately very old, but I plan on doing more recent ones in the future.

I accidentally cracked the screen on my phone, near the camera, and my reading glasses are partly bent, but here I am.
