Trying My New Small Cuisinart

**21 days ago I said:** <a href="https://peakd.com/sublimesunday/@silversaver888/sublime-sunday-lets-make-a-smoothie">*I am thinking of purchasing another one, maybe a 3-cup capacity. For everyday use, a smaller one would be ideal, although I need this size for my parties.*</a>

I was referring to my **full-size blender** πŸ‘‡. I bought this way back in 2013. It is pretty good, and I have used it for all my blending needs. But for small, daily needs, **I got myself a Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus 3-cup Processor**!

There are several ways to make a **Berry Smoothie with Chia seeds**. One way was shown <a href="https://peakd.com/sublimesunday/@silversaver888/sublime-sunday-lets-make-a-smoothie">HERE</a>, and the other way is <u>THIS</u>.

In a glass (or in my case, a plastic blender/tumbler), **put 2 tablespoons of Chia seeds in a little warm water**. This allows a couple of minutes to 'activate' the Chia seeds. By the way, that is 5 grams of protein.

Then using the new 3-cup processor for the first time, I proceeded with making a smoothie with **a cup of mixed berries and a banana**. Mixed berries have 1 gram protein while a banana has 1.3 grams protein.

**Instead of cottage cheese, I used my collagen peptides.** It is good for the skin, hair, nails, and joints. Plus, it has 18 grams of protein per serving. I used 2 scoops of collagen peptides.

I then added **milk**, which is 8 grams of proteins.

**This gadget is very light**... almost bordering on the flimsy! Maybe I'm just so used to the heavy, full-size blender. It is easy to use with only two simple buttons: chop and grind.
