<liketuimages> <center> </center> </liketuimages> Hello friends, today I want to tell you about a place I discovered some time ago and photographed. I didn't do a great job because my mobile phone is not very powerful, but I still managed to capture many points of this beautiful town called Sperlonga. It is located in the province of Latina, about 100 km south of Rome, along the Tyrrhenian coast. Sperlonga is a very special place, with a unique scenic beauty and a fascinating ancient history. I recommend you go and visit it, it is really worth it! To tell you the truth, I do not consider Sperlonga to be one of the most beautiful villages in Lazio. There are much more beautiful ones, however it is among the quite acceptable ones. I was most impressed by the sea, which I did not expect to be so clean. I had read some reviews about it and then some friends of mine had been there again this summer, from their stories I had a bad impression of this place. Instead I can tell you that it is really worth it, then we know that anyway the sea in winter is a whole other thing. There is certainly a lot more calm here during the winter period than in the summer. I imagine that around here there is quite a bit of chaos during the summer season, because this place is 100 km from Rome anyway and I think that almost all the Romans, apart from Ostia and Gaeta, come here. Maybe I am wrong, but from what I understand from the people I have met here, this must be the case. In any case, during the winter, one can enjoy greater peace and tranquillity, enjoying the beauty of the place in a more relaxed way. Still, it would not be bad to have a house around here, to always have the chance to go and enjoy this place. Unfortunately, during this visit, I did not have time to see an important archaeological site nearby, namely an important Roman villa that I had read about. I did not have time to find it and photograph it, so you will have to make do with the photos I took during this visit. I assure you, however, that this Roman villa is definitely worth a visit, so if you have the chance to return to Sperlonga, don't forget to drop in. I hope you enjoyed the photos see you next time and have a good and happy day --- For the best experience view this post on [Liketu](https://liketu.com/@silviared945/today-i-introduce-you-to-sperlonga)
