*After resting at the hotel and having a super hearty breakfast early in the morning we left by bus for the archaeological site of Paestum which is located further south of Sorrento after Salerno.

*I had never ventured into this part of Campania, but many people have told me good things about this archaeological site, which we can say is similar to the one in Sicily.*

*This is probably one of the largest Greek cities that are serviced in the Tyrrhenian Sea and here is the site of three magnificent Doric temples that are right next to each other and I must say that they are kept in excellent condition unlike what I had been told by some tourists who had visited this site in the past.*

*There are practically three temples: the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Neptune and the Temple of Ceres or Athena, while in the central part is the classic Roman forum, with the foundations of various private buildings, and further to the north-west is a small Roman amphitheatre that is only partly visible.*

*the price of the ticket to access this site is €6 until 28 February and then it seems to me that it is €12 and there is also a dedicated application to download on your mobile phone where the archaeological site is explained the car parking I saw that near the site is paid then of course there is always the possibility of having a guide that we had already included in the tour.*

*At the end we also visited the small museum where there is a collection of artifacts that were found here.*

*I must say that after years of mismanagement, now the museum seems to be better managed, there is also a beautiful shop inside where small souvenirs are sold, but above all, it seems to me that the ticket is valid for three days, so there is the possibility of returning to the park to visit it better.*

**From my point of view, it was a wonderful experience, probably also thanks to the guide, who explained to us in great detail the whole history of this very important city of Magna Graecia, so I can only recommend a visit to this place.**
