* Krishna Urja Suraksha avam Utthaan Mahaabhiyan or KUSUM scheme would provide extra income to farmers when by selling the power to the Grid.
* It will help in De-dieselising the farm sector.
* The scheme will promote energy efficiency and water conservation.
* The centre will spend rupees 48000 crore on the 10 year scheme which was announced in the union budget 2018 to 2019.
