I have nothing against Witness's in general, their position within the community is very important, but one thing keeps sticking out to me. One thing keeps reoccurring over and over in my mind. - **Witness's are not the best representatives for the community.** " GASP " - Let me explain *Because maybe we need more people to vote for?* *The Job of a Witness is more or less to keep the blockchain running and processing blocks, more or less the technical aspect of everything. Though, they have the option to be more involved..More times than not they choose to be involved with the back end and not the front end issues.* What is a Front End Issue? Social Problems, Problems that are not directly solved with hard forks. Problems that the community should handle as a whole. I am not saying that a Witness can not and should not get involved in social issues, but we should always remember. "They are not community REPS, they are part of the Community. So they are subject to be biased and have strong opinions on certain things, opinions that may not represent the much larger user base." - *The Point* *Witness's just like the average user needs a Community REP to handle social issues we cannot solve as a whole* **"It would be so cool if running around yelling at each other all day worked, but sadly it does not. What will work is having REPS from different parts of the community coming together to solve issues all groups are having. Civil Conversation. From that group we need to find as many steemians to REP "tags" example given; If you are Heavy into NSFW content, Art,Poetry & Story and know a good portion of authors from those tags, you would best represent those tags & that community. 3.Start the formation of formal guilds. Not bot voting guilds. ACTUAL HUMAN CREATED & OPERATED GUILDS. Refine. **REPS REPS REPS! What is a REP?** R = Really E = Engaged P = People A REP is someone who is willing to go the distance for the community. Some one who is willing to deal with the following; Rewards. Social Problems User Engagement Spreading of Useful Information Circulation of High Quality Content Brainstorming ways to retain New Users/Old Users Community Engagement / Events Guilds Trolls. Flaggers. **And Much More.** How do we choose a REP? Community Voting. How can we Vote with not Voting System? Simple. People who wish to be a REP make a POST about it. Then go around telling people about that POST and ask them to read over it, if they agree with you and want to vote for you, they simply sign the POST with a comment containing their NAME & Why they are choosing to follow you. - There should be "Campaign Periods" in which we know Steemians will be in the community reaching out to people. - Of coarse this plan as room for improvement, which it should, but its a start. Lets Get Out there and find some Leaders. Other Solution Ideas to some Problems. FLAGS ARE USED FOR SPAM AND COPY AND PASTE CONTENT ONLY  CREATE A MIDDLE GROUND OPTION.
